I received a mail a few days ago from the boom team saying that they we're trying their hardest to pu ATM inside the boom camp. Here it is (portuguese):

!!!!Tickets for Boom 2008 Are Sold Out!!!!
A massive flow of people came into Boom 2008. At the end of the first day, one fact: Boom reached its full capacity. It’s now useless to try to get a ticket.
On August 11th, gates opened two hours before planned, at 7 am. At that time there was already a queue of 9km to get inside Boom. People started arriving in Idanha-a-Nova long ago, since Friday, and the town most likely turned into one of the most international villages in the world. And people just kept coming! Boom had its pre-parking areas already packed with cars and caravans long ago. The amount of people increased throughout the day and tickets were sold out by the beginning of the night. So, there are no more tickets, and nobody else will be allowed to get in as no more tickets are on sale. We acknowledge all the people that came to Portugal to support the 7th edition of Boom Festival. Tickets Are Still Available
Despite the rumor: the Boom 2008 tickets are not sold out.
In the last two weeks we've been getting a lot of claims and doubts about Boom tickets. Most of the people were concerned about the lack of tickets to be sold at the gates. This rumor has been achieving a worldwide impact as there are e-mails and phone calls from Japan, USA and all Europe.
Boom Festival officially announces that there will be tickets at the gates. You can travel safely to Portugal as there will still be entrance tickets to get in to the 7th edition of the Boom Festival.
The phases for the pre-sale tickets are effectively finished, however there are tickets at the gates. Everyone can participate in this festival of independent culture and artistic expression.

Travel safely ? i just had to drop all my travel, beacuse going alone and not gettting in would be no fun at all... And they tell 25 000 ? Why not write this in the beginning ??

I dont know if it is sold out or not but I had a 11 hours queue, pre-parking (first time I see this) and I have the impression that there is a lot more people in the fest than last edition. Anyway, the environment is just amazing!

My girlfriend will arrive here in Portugal on friday. I had been informed by the boom team that there would be late bid tickets at that time. There were no limitation mentioned and i am really dissapointed. We'll spend the weekend in anti-boom. Kriz, unhappy too see you did'nt made it. I can assure you that you will not miss that much either, except some really pricy living. hm. |
