well... we cant complain about the cops cause its not their fault here,they r just doin their job but sometime i wonder...
dont they have anything better to do?
this is israel i have to mention... we got far more serious problems here than raves...
about the drugs thing - well,i dont thing something will change in the next few years if ever, unless something big will happened in the political structure here,in the brief - no orthodocs in the parlimant,especially with such power that they have now... and add it to the bunch of ignorant assholes there and u will have no future.
reduce the hard drugs by making light ones legal...

gonzo i dont know but maybe you havent encounter cops too much...
the cops i have encounter were anything BUT fair.
they just acted stupid.
and like pigs.
worthy of their nick name.

Wako Jako: it's not ignorance, it's just that pot is socially unacceptable. Alcohol has been around at least since biblical times (they only drank water or wine, no other drinks are mentioned), and is a part of society. Tobacco - well, basically the same, and add the fact that there's a LOT of money involved in that industry, which makes it very hard to illegalize.
The story about illegalization of cannabis is a long one, so I won't get into it.
But let's admit it. A LOT of people at trance parties smoke marijuana. That is illegal in Israel. The police bust parties because it's like shooting fish in a barrel - you can't miss unless you redefine incompetent. They want to catch criminals, they don't want to work to hard or do any real work, so they just find a party to bust, and since trance parties already have a stereotype as "drug parties" and aren't protected from the long arm of justice (I have just taken sarcasm to a new level, I think I deserve congratulations) as well as clubs, that makes them an easy target.
Trance parties don't deserve to be a target. But they're an easy one, and the police are too lazy to catch REAL criminals. So that's the way it's going to be.

u r right,they r not doing the right war here.
insead of busting in trace parties they should do more in the border with egypt,lots of stuff going through there,instead of giving the army the job of doin that and between us - what a reserve army soldier (like me for example) care about a few kgs/tons of canabis that passes everyday from egypt to israel when this poor soldier is sitting and taningg outside in the heat of the desert? specially nowdayz that we have the world cup on our heads...

well i dont think the police bust parties cos of the drugs. at least not here in switzerland, they give a shit (well at least most of the times) about drugs be it hash or whatsoever... when parties are closed down its cos of the noise and cos some ppl complain to the police about that. another thing is that when party organizers do the parties illegally they dont pay taxes and stuff...

it's not the noise that bothers the police here, 'cause we r talking about outdoors parties, far from any living areas, usually in the middle of nowhere.
i just had an insite!! IMHO most cops had a very bossy and harsh parents, so when they grow up and get some power in their hands, all the childhood trauma and setbacks bust out at their best.

I know only situation in Russia ... here policemen control the trademarket of heroin and ganja fo example .. and they make money on protecting drug deallers..
but they can not control psychedelic drugz so they always try to catch deallers at partys.. (as u know LSD have no smell and even dogs can not find it at airport), mushrooms are growing everywhere -- so anyone can sell them not paying policemen, then some sort of drugz made by the psych chemistres --- are not controled by police..
So that`s the point in Russia .. .frankly speaking i suppose that something like that is in all country`s because.. heroin is such a drug that if police WANTS it woudn`t exist -- it `s so easy to find it using dogs... and so easy to find heroin addicted... but it exists -- that`s means somebody want`s much it to exist
