Anybody who thought what happened in the Czech Republic was an isolated incident, read about what just happened this past Saturday night in Utah to a party there:

No doubt the county sheriff and local authorities face a major lawsuit, and Utah is a socially repressive red state dominated by Mormons. So the implications for the rest of the country are uncertain.
I do think that it is a good reality check when it comes to attitudes about drugs at parties, having good party organization that is responsive to complaints and medical situations; the need to govern ourselves, and taking local ordinances and authorities seriously. |
