It's not that bad at all...
1. Not enough happening imho, but still some nice ideas... there is a nice groove from the 6th min... nice atmosphere&setting... thats defenetly not your problem... nice "bird effect"... it just needs some more action and then it's ready to be released... maybe a good sample, a climax... Finally i will say that you have what it taks imo you just need work a bit more on the songs...           "Love is a way of life"

hey there
i've heard those tracks of yours

firstly its not really the style i like to listen to but
i feel like saying a few things:

1st track:
nice psy vocals and good bassline and tablas but its kinda repetitive.. that background "gong" through all the track?
quality not that great and maybe i didnt got it, but i think the track misses the main idea..

2nd track is better.. remix?

i think ur tracks would suit some thriller or nightmare movie
great dark atmosphere and spooky effects

thank you both for listening...

@the green channel
yep, there isnt much action in the song and i could happen a bit more, but i'm afraid to destroy the atmosphere if i put alot of effects into the song. but youre right, a killer sample would help much...

can someone explain to me what climax is????

and yes, i like it minimal

@brainstorm
hehe, both links points to the same track, the first with lofi (96kbit), the second to hifi (160kbit). i think thatswhy the quality isnt that good ;-) that background gong gives the track this spooky atmosphere, thats why is it called "pesadelos" which is portugues and means nightmare... but youre right, the sample is too loud i have to put it down a little...

thanx you guys very much for your review...

I there!!!
First of all i think you have nice atmospheres in this track but the groove........ it seems like it's going to somewhere but never arive the place.
As the green chanel guy told ther's not much happening, work more on the rythm.
Keep to nice work.

well, you could open the sound a lot more here... I'd also think maybe a different attitude - try a dark driving a la XV Killist style to this track, could give it a lot more... you should add another element that's different from the ones you have here - this track remains very linear all the way through.

There's some interesting thought here, but again, in minimalism you have to be a perfectionist and a control freak - this track doesn't inch towards a certain goal like a proffesional minimal track has to.

Keep up the work - you've got a nice understanding of atmosphere, and that's a very solid base to work on.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

you know what am i happy about? every body critizises the same thing, so its easy (humm) to aim my next steps. as long as i can see a progression in my humble work i will keep up the work, otherwise i will stop, unless its perfect, hehe...

xv kilist? man, what would i give for so much talent? i would give my songs such an attitude, if only i could...

thanx green channel for the explication, i can imagine what you mean...

thanx kaz, i know that you know what you are speaking about...           just gimme more of the same. its just a test!

well, most of the stuff already was written here...
personally i would have put more cuttoff on the bassline (that is my taste) , that will give some more power to the track...

i didnt like the conga that plays most of the track....
more synth lines can be added, despite it is a minimal track...

when i downloaded it, no one wrote anything about the track yet, so when i heard it i was excpecting to something to explode here (climax, the PEAK of the track)....

but man, keep on working.
i saw something that BLT said in an interview not long ago:
"Work is 90% of success and the talent is only 10%, so run to your studio and practice!"
and Yuli is right!
good luck in the future mate

good job man, i like those transitions, i would add some more percussion but that's just my taste.
also the BPM is too slow for me.

well man , i can't give some technical suggestions but as a ordinary listener there are few things i'd like to tell'ya : 1) in general , i liked your track a lot , it's not sounding amateurish in any way , nice build up , well i got no complents on a structure 2) it's up to u ofcourse but why won't u try to progress it a little bit more , not necessary adding additional effects but maybe playing some more with the bass line or adding some other drum line ... just a thought 3) your track really reminds me Native Radio works , i guess u'r searching for your own style but give them a listen (if u didn't yet) , maybe it helps u somehow ... keep the good work and good luck           Dance is my Trance

I really like the sound design of the percussion elements you've used. The stormy intro is a nice touch as well.

Other than that, the track is a bit on the monotonous side, even for this genre. I found that my attention drifted very frequently while listening. So I guess more variation may be called for, as others have suggested.

Not much else to complain about here - you're obviously on the right track, you just need to put some more time on it.
