Since many parties are taking place in Greece every week i think that each one of them deserves to be posted seperately so that people can ask questions and get answers about each one.
So i think that its time to delete the Parties Of The Week thread and begin posting each event seperately.
Before posting any event PLEASE read and follow these guidelines.
1)Include the name of the promoter/party team.
2)Include the date of the event (day,date,month and year if necessery).In case of festival please let us know how many days the festival duration is.
3)Include the full line up indicating whether an artist performs a live perfomance or a dj set.Timetable and short artists info (including the artists label,origin,releases and biography) are also very welcome.
4)Include the venue of the party and its location.The city of the event is obligatory though the address of the venue is optional.Please also indicate whether the event will take place in a club,warehouse,indoor or outdoor,beach,mountain etc etc.
5)If possible inform us about some features of the event and its venue such as people capacity,parking space,decoration,jugglers or dancers perfomances,sound system,laser show,lights show or any other features and surprises.
6)Please inform us when the event opens its doors (and when it stops if possible) and tell us if you know the ticket price for that event.If there is a special price for presale tickets please let us know.
7)Finally inform us for any available hotlines,e-mails or websites where we can get more info about that event.
If you have in mind any other guidelines that have to be added here please feel free to Private Message me.
Events that dont include date,line up or party venue will be deleted and the users will receive a private message.

Detox I think your previous idea of having all the parties in one thread worked great AND we also could ask questions and get answers about each one in there, and it also applied in other sections of this forum; one thread for the same thing(parties, funny images ext.). Now I think we will have to many parties threads and that just doesn't look good.

Cyberdelia my friend i think its better to have many party threads in the Trance In Greece section so that we can better expose the trance and party scene in our country.
The parties of the week topic included all the parties but i noticed that not many people asked questions or posted reviews about any event so that why i think that having a separate topic for each party will let people post more freely

Not confirmed events are deleted CHP.
Lately many parties are announced in Greece where the international guests do not appear at all (Skazi,Koxbox,Talamasca,Bamboo Forest,Parasense,Alien Project,Tristan,GMS) and the people are being ripped off by the 'promoters' so the people asked me if possible to see which events are confirmed and which are not.
Because i personally know that Skazi is playing in Thesaloniki along with Exaile and Neuromotor on the 31 of January for Eternal Motion when i saw Cyberlight advertising also Skazi for the 17th of January i called Igal the owner of Chemical Crew Records to see what is going on.He told me that there is no confirmed booking until Cyberlight will provide him with some official papers that he asked them,i told him that there are already flyers and posters of the event all around the city of Thesaloniki and he again told me that he does not care at all about that and that he will inform me if the booking will be confirmed when and if he will receive the papers from the promoters.Because the same promoters advertised Skazi last April while Skazi himself called me in personal telling me that that there is no booking for him in Thesaloniki i decided to delete from now on every event that is not confirmed by the artists or their label.
The trance situation in Greece is in difficult times and the people must be informed of what is going on.

it is a lot more fare to reply to bogus party advertisements and state that u have spoken in person to the artists and they are not appearing than deleting the thread mr det.
We have invented Democracy and please let's practise it

Pan democracy is a term that mr det does not comprehend....
or i 'd rather say he comprehends the new democracy that exist in contemporary greece.
Which is: the only opinions that are right are the ones which are in my interest......
Hey det nothing personal but being a moderator does not give you monarchy rights over here!!!
Everybody can express their opinions here as long as they do not insult someones cultural identity and personality....... Even if they are you rival promoters.......
I did not went to any of the parties last weekend but from what i heard Skazi DID came and Stefan Bamboo did NOT come.... i also overheard that skazi will NOT come at the 31st..... but all these are rumours and i should not been saying that in public should i???????????????
Anyway you will delete my post so i will not carry on spewing......
By the way it is better to have a thread for each party than all of them in the parties of the week so keep it that way......

Gkalpakas i have been a moderator in this place for something like two years.During this time everybody was free to advertise whatever he liked,Sunrise Zone,Cyberlight,Communicate Managment,Natural High,Samothraki Festival and absolutely EVERYONE was (and still is) free to advertise his events in any way they like.Even when some of the promoters called me names like 'fat pig','bastard' and many more (without reason most of the times) i tried to solve the problems with them using the most democratic mean available which is conversation and dialog.
If you think that i am not a very democratic person then sorry but we do not share the same opinion about democracy and you should report me to the founders of this site explaining what i am doing wrong here and let them decide about my moderator status and if a am a monarch like you called me or not.
I have no rivalries with anyone in the Greek trance scene,i am helping the scene in the way i can,some people like that,some do not like that.I do not owe money to anyone,i dont blackmail anyone,i dont threat anyone and i am proud of that cause i can express myself loud and clear without being afraid of being accused about nothing by anyone out there.You know many people that have this privilege?Personally i dont.
About the parties i dont know if Skazi came or not last weekend in Thesaloniki BUT what i know (and i can prove it to you with photo material if you send me your email) is that Stephane from Bamboo Forest came to the event advertised by Eternal Motion at Thesaloniki so be carefull about the rumours that you hear.Also i can send you copies of the money transactions showing that Skazi has been prepaid for the event on the 31 of January at Thesaloniki.I dont like rumours,i like facts and what i always say is a fact!
P.S If i was going to delete your post anyway why did you in the first place spend your time writing all these things?Maybe i am not a monarch after all right?

Nothing will come Pan cause this thread deals with guidelines for posting parties and events in the Trance In Greece section.
If you want to speak about the moderation of this section or anything else please open a new thread.
All of the offtopics will be deleted in a couple of days.
Gkalpakas if you have any inquiries about my response to you please feel free to private message me and talk about it or even open a new thread in public about the subject of moderation in this section.

Gkalpakas I respect what you are saying but may I ask something ? Why do u insist on "hearing"? Why do people insist on "listening to rumours" when its so easy to find out whats going on?
Now, lets see, Skazi and his label have an official site, chemical-crew.tv, now if you just log on to the site and click on events, there it is! You get informed about the parties Skazi will appear, so no need of "hearing" and "rumours".Its so fucking easy!
P.S Bamboo was there, he played a good set but nothing extraordinary special.... |
