Hi to all of you.As we all been expecting for the first release of platform's album on star jelly rec.
First of all , great job by star jelly , I think we all wish them good luck.
Now let's start with the Platform's Album.
Tracklist :
1.Biohole
2.Hypnoplant
3.Conveyor
4.Main Deisel
5.Fantomas
6.Mystic Show
7.Wood
8.Zinger way
9.Full Hsyeresis
10.Low Haze

1.The first track is a very good one for the opener , pumping kick , nice heavy breaks , good effects and pads and of course technoish percussion work.
2.The track is reminds me in some part some x-dream track with one of effects , here I must say that the sound of it realy strange - i couldnt find the bass through some couple of moments.Again nice pads and nice percussion work - what i dont like is the percusion little disorder which comes with some distortion - but again nice one .This track slows down the situation after the first and upcoming for the third.
3.This one is very hard and pumping like the first , again nice breaks distorted percussion ,sub bass - like techno might be.
I liked here the percussion melodies that realy singing here.
4.Again some break in tempo from kick and bass - less pumping more percussive like in the second more disorder and distortion. What me liked in this one is the couple of breaks which really really nice and give you a must to go over it again.
5.Here is more dancefloor track , more danceable percussion very good kick and bass ,nice beats - this one for sure make you shaking legs.
6.This one is more industrial style , as I think.
nice percussion and effects , very dark and distorted , less favourite fo sure for me.
7.Again after not so danceable track(6) comes oumping bass and kick and shaking percsussion.Nice work , again singing distorted percsussion , dark pads and effects , breaks also seems to be very nice for a dancer.
8.Here comes also dance killer , good kick and bassline , also nice distorted sounds , shaking beats - very good.
9.Here is some industrial , very good work , nice track - good one although not special one for me.
10.Also industrial music , this one nicer than the 9 track , liked it more it is more dark in my opinion.Nice one to close the album.

Ok lets conclude.
The album is overally nice , good percussion work , nice dark synths , industrial sounds , pumping kicks and basses - very good on that point.
The problem for me is the sound - and here I mean the all disorder in tracks , which comes from distortion , in couple of tracks the bass is not heard and felt so clearly.I think that the production should be more clear and here albums like Spirallianz StereoPark or Passages of MidiMiliz should be taken as a best reference.I think there is too much distortion and also the percussion is overleveled in some parts in the album.Besides nice percussion work it must be heard more clearly because I am sure not every one will sit down and listen so carefuly to each piece in track like myself did.

This album for sure is a must for all techno trance lover and moreover every one who liked platform before this release and was expecting for this.
I wish good luck Platform and the Star Jelly rec. crew , make fun and keep up with that scene - we all expect for sure for more releases with techno stuff.

Favourites - 5,8
Overall - 8.5/10

Enjoy it.

" This album represents a fine piece of techno-laced hard trance, awash with pounding industrial beats and darkly atmospheric synths. Opener 'Biohole' sets the tone nicely with its crowd roar / cheer sample, before breaking into a harsh, bass drum stab beat, interlaced with skittish hi-hats. The dominant percussion underpins and carries the tune right through to the break and a momentary let-up, before that bass drum kicks back in to carry the tune to its conclusion. The feel on this is very much borderline hard trance/techno, and works nicely... the flavour of the album continues much in this vein for the majority of tracks, keeping to a very stripped down, minimalist formula... metallic rhythms, punchy drums, brooding ethereal synths drifting in and out of the tracks... it's not going to be to everybody's taste, but that's the point with an album like this. Forget your airy-fairy, hands in the air, whistles-and-glowsticks trance material, these are brutal, percussion driven tunes that drill into your skull, scoop out the pulpy grey mush inside, and cheerlessly deposit it on the sidewalk... and I like it. Oh yes, I like it very much... these are tracks that are ideal for dropping in the midst of a really hard set; the driving beats and blistering rhythms are enough to set a crowd on fire (and you don't even need any petrol!), and there's enough variation on the album to sustain the interest - just check out the intelligent percussive work on 'Mystic Show', or the pumping BPM's of 'Main Diesel' - a tune that could be worked into a hard house set in the right venue, it's THAT fast... but for me the stand-out tune on this album has to be the closer, 'Low Haze'; this is an absolute quality piece of work - not the easiest of tracks to drop in to a set, but absolutely phat on its own merit, with a wicked breakbeat set to a looped bell tone. This is a fine piece of production that serves to bring this piece of plastic to a memorable close, and is a tune that I'm sure I'll still be spinning months down the line.

In a nutshell, if you like your beats with an industrial edge and your trance hard, dark and dirty, then you're going to get a real kick out of the 10 tracks on here. It's not going to set the world on fire, but it might just lob a molotov cocktail through its window and a give it a damn good beating when it runs outside..."
if you want to be rich, u`ve got to be a bitch!
