Penta for breakfast......is the most delicious for me but really it can be played anytime and will completely change the energy level of the party!
i agree with fullon on one point, this release is definitely the unique Penta style which no one can imitate, but more developed and taken to the next level. Always new elements being introduced, keeps you dancing forever, and by the end of the track you completely forget the beginning of it. superb production quality and a good dose of humor, man i could go on and on.......definitely should be heard on a very large system with many freaks on the dancefloor to really understand the potential of this musc. my faves are perfect sunday (an awesome track to be played on a beatiful sunday morning), olympia, aerobica, and definitely why not?. if you are reading this thread and haven't gotten the cd yet, stop doing isratrance, go to saikosounds and buy the cd NOW! trust me, you wont regret it

and someone mentioned looney tunes, ya it is a promotional compilation from brainbusters which can be acquired only either through the artists who took part in the compilation, or by coming to the BrainBusters one year anniversary party, or through saikosounds when u purchase a certain amount of cds. actually it is sold out at saikosounds now, and we will try to send more to them soon! also i would like to take this chance to thank Nikita and all other artists for contributing to the compilation.

enjoy!! horn please is definitely my favorite release so far this year!

It's a typical penta album for sure. This guy definetely has a lot of humor and that's why his sound is so special in dark/night-flavor (@spliffnick: sunday morning music? only if it's raining or dark clouds hanging from the sky ).

I never heard him live and I'm sure it can be a great fun. But still I must say that except for "Disgusting Little Creatures" and "Leave A Message" (the German police siren in it, hahaha, great for small, illegal outdoor parties ), I never found any track of him to be anything really rememberable. It just lacks some musical direction. I miss some parts equivalent to a chorus in classical songwriting, doesn't have to a chorus at all, it can be one single outstanding sound or something. Pentas music just goes by someway without leaving any deeper impression exept an all around nice feeling. Like Alzheimer's where you meet new friends everyday, but still, the days are all the same at the end.

So, I'm sure it works perfectly on today's dancefloors, but from a musical perspective I can't really dig it. But still, as the tracks leave room for the listener and the sounds are very well designed, it's much better than most dark psy. A 7 minus/10 for me.           I love humanity but I hate people.

sure i guess we all have different tastes, I get it that you don't want to hear it on a clear sunday morning, that's cool. But last sunday i did play it at a festival in tokyo in front of about a thousand ppl under the sun, and it made everyone dance and smile more. so i guess what works for some people dont work for others, I was just sharing an experience i had and my own personal opinion. I guess you had to be there

I have listened to this album a fair few times now. I like it and I think its one of the best releases this year......however nothing really blows me away. I would call it "solid". I expected more from Penta, afterall this was the one album I was really waiting for.

Olympia and aerobica are my favs.
7/10

I really prefer the older stuff

Yeah, of course, you're right, man. And it is the true art of a DJ to be able to play anything at any party or time of the day. The trick is to combine the tracks in a way to take the people with you. Yes, and then even strong darkpsy like Penta's might work on a sunny Sunday morning.

Well, it sounds like you did your job right.

fully agreed... perfect sunday.. smashing morning track....

Mr. Spliffnik

... i got your looney tunes cd.. brilliant stuff.. big ups .. actually placed my first order on Saiko just for that cd....... but i have one big complaint ...the first 3-4 tracks a mastered very very poorly ... i mean its appalling... well i never head of amental mastering cd's before... so i guess he'll get better...so just take care the next time... cause no matter how god the tracks are .. if the mastering sucks then its not fun to listen to...

cheers

Wow.. very interesting to hear someone's comment about Nikita's music being "unmusical" He's one of the few artists that uses obscure instruments like saxophones and trumpets inside of his music, and also avoids the the general phrygian scale melodies used in most really melodic trance. Sure it's different, that's why people love it. He's got some of if not the best production in the harder aspect of psychedelic trance, and it's nice to see him step it up a notch with this album. Everything is a progression, and I would have been royally disappointed if this album had been just like either of the previous ones. Many congratulations to Nikita and to Auraquake, this albums been blasting all over the place!           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
