after browsing through numorous catalouges of outdoor parties from around the world(south africa, europe, usa), i've come to realise that the deco in parties here in Israel isn't nearly as good as the deco abroad. In most parties here in the holly land, the deco is minimalistic in comparison to other countries (even the best promoters use relativly basic deco). what's the deal? why are we behind the rest of the world when it comes to deco? or perhaps i'm mistaken and the deco around the world isn't that much better than in Israel?

your comments please :-)           MiniMAL cabron...

CyberPunk> i'm talking about underground parties. i don't usualy go to commercial events.

ShivaS> i'm pretty sure i get to the good parties, but i've seen very few promtors who put efforts into organizing good deco. Moksha have pretty good deco, Udi & Ronen usualy have very little deco (the parties in mitzpe har-el & hayogev had only basic deco). Very few organizers i can think of who put much emphasis on deco. perhaps moksha, Gabi & twins, and psychedelic zion.

Maybe my standards are too high? after all, we do have plenty of parties with good deco, it's just that i've hardly ever seen any spectacular deco in Israeli parties...           MiniMAL cabron...

good morning ))
man, the minimal setup for small gathering in europe is dancefloor (well decorated) + chill out zone (with music, fruits and sitting places) + in most of parties some stuff for saling (like t-shirts,fluero shit and etc).
iv been at small parties at peotugal and germany only.
org groups like moksha or others (big ones) were lost all their crowd if they were setup the party as they do. only israelis i thibk ready pay money for such poor deco and stuff preparatings.           Believe your soul !

About Moksha - I started to see a decline in the psy deco area and getting much more simple color here and there deco. Minimalistic indeed.

Been to other parties with almost no deco at all!

well, i think that the most important reason for this is that there are no deco artists in israel.
i wish there was someone, then i could buy some cool stuff for my room too.
unfortunately, we don't have an israeli NOS or brahma or whoever, and we usually get parties with longies from india (which aren't that bad, but well, don't have that much diversity, such as baba chilum and little elves) and maybe a few uv structures (there were a few nice ones at udi&ronen's party in the desert and avi&zohar's last party near mahane 80).
and i must say, that now that you brought this up, i must say, that only once in about 10 parties i saw bareable deco (best of which lately was compost's alice in wonderland theme).
and that really sucks, especially in winter when there's no beauty at the surrounding walls, some deco on them would help.
well, if anyone knows of a nice longie painter or deco artist in israel, let us know.           Super-teen extraordinaire Freakazoid! Freakazoid!

I've got only two short things to say here ...
A) The only reason for that is that promotors don't want to "spend" money on things that don't bring crowd (if you don't consider the next party) ...
B) ComPost in Haifa - We consider the visual aspect as a main issue ...
Check the photos at www.compost.co.il ...
We look for criticism ...

Lucifer> i've gotta admit that the infamous "alice in wonderland" party had really good deco, but it's an exception in the israeli party scene...           MiniMAL cabron...
