hi all!!
i have some questions to portugal ppls,
cause i'm really thinking on moving from hungary to portugal (lisbon).
first of all, how much would be a simple flat for 2 ppl for a month? (i'm planning to stay for a longer period btw.)
can somebody help in searching for flats, or give me some contacts who could maybe help me? else if i would have to be there first for renting a flat, do you know some place for staying a few days or week, till i could find a flat myself?
i would also like to get in touch with portugal record labels/artists/promoters/etc, and maybe make something together...

hello!
I live in Oporto, but it is almost the same prices, but the prices depend on the zones of Lisbon.
A commom flat T1 (one bedroom) is between 350/600 ... A flat T2 (2 bedrooms) u can find between 500/800 (maybe more, maybe less... but it depends the zone like i said and the equipment of the flat)
But.. why lisbon? Oporto is better place to stay.. its the second biggest city in Portugal, its very beautiful and the trance scene here is very strong
It is my opinion , but.. maybe some one from there will say diferent.. 
But, nice to see u choose Portugal to stay!
I hope u can have a great time here and i hope to see u playing too!

i think both Oporto & Lisbon have strong trance scene, although i think Oporto is less expensive than lisbon from accomodation to food, and other facilities. iīm from Oporto so it would really be nice to have you guys around
you can get cheap accomodation here, i live in a T2+1 (2 bedrooms + 1 small bedroom) and i pay 400 euros, but u can get T2 from 300/350 euros in the center of the city, makin easier to move around in the city, no need for transports
if you guys plan to stay hear in Oporto i can help you finding nice & cheap accomodation, just PM me.

Hey lithium.. T2+1 for 400? you have lucky man, ehe.. my girlfriend have one T1 in Cedofeita (in the center of the city for who dont know) and she pay 350 but with "rental young" (arrendamento jovem) she just pay 150.

Lisbon is very expensive to live!
I've been renting rooms/apartments since 98/99 (i think) and i've paid and the price for a house with 3 rooms (one can be a dinning one) is from 500 up.
Currently i'm paying 250 (for a room in a shared house) but hoping to pay around 125/150 because of the "young rent incentive". The house is a bit old but is in the center so it's cool.
Since lisbon is a old city sometimes is difficult to get houses smaller than that but they exist.
Most housing price is fixed around 600/700 for 3+ rooms (plus bath and kitchen).
What is cool is that often you can get a house with 5+ rooms for the price of one with 3/4.
One possibility is to share an appartment with someone (i've done that and i don't regret) studying or working here.
Avoid old people and families renting part of their houses because you'll have to live with many restrictions (hours to dine, sleep, wake, etc).
There's a association wich helps people finding homes. If you want i can help you getting in contact with them.

In the country the air is better, the is less, and generally is a lot better!

it's cool to be out of the cities if your livin with your parents: it's very hard to get a job if not in a city
and the air in lsb and porto is better than most european cities (i think) so...

my sugestion is Oporto, maybe u'll find better prices, lisbon is beautiful to, but people at the north of the country are more friendly, like, there exists a bigger proximity and hospitality(?).

Lithium, where do you find a T2 in the centre of Porto for 300?? that's completely new to me.
and homen you really should chose Porto, is a much nicer city than lisbon, and cheaper... when you live there come visit porto and you'll see you'll regret going south

First people from the south are known to be very warm and welcoming...
Lisbon is a very beautifull place with lot's of great events happening here everyweek, visited from people from all over the world everyday.
Most people from the north of portugal have this strange hate for the south, because of dumb politics, futebol and other wrong reasons... that's kind of a mad thing to do...

yeah man oporto is a much friendly city.and we dont hate people from the south i have very god friends there you know. but people from lisbon moustly think that they are better than us and always kidding with the accent of people from porto.
and if you search properly you can find a very good place to stay in porto for a cheap price in the old part of the city like ribeira,miragaia,cordoaria etc...but you have to talk with the rigth people dont search in newspapper adds because the houses are more expensive.

for one i think the accent is cool, specially in girls... i just like to hear them talk
and pretencious people always think they are better than others, it's not because of were they come from...
