anselmo will never be mustaine...
mustaine its a legend ...he makes 2 group legends and if he hasent problems with heroin he could be like ozzy....
pantera imo is closest to the new metal then the classic thrash that we all loved....

Megadeth or Pantera?
The answer is of course Metallica!
I must say that I never managed to get into Pantera, I bought one album and didn't connect and never bothered to try again.
Now to the real question here
I really like Megadeth, I have most of their albums, well, up to Youthanasia, anyway. I liked the older ones because of the general message and feel, and the later ones, because of the tight production and strength. However, Megadeth are pop comparing to Metallica, who are classical music in that comparison. No other way to put it. There is no way you can compare the complex musicality, the raw power, the burning message of Metallica (till the Black album) to Megadeth. It's not for nothing that Mustain said a while ago, that getting himself thrown out of Metallica was the stupidest thing he ever done.

what u say is very unfair shahar
if dave was still at metallica they would have sounded pretty different
because neither james nor dave have the skills of marty or kirk
ok ok kirk is overdoing the licking technique BUT try to play what he plays heheh
anyway
metallica were never so progressive
as megadeth
and the albums after And justice were soooo formulated
they were trying to sound as Kyuss or Fu Manchu-projects that existed for over a decade before metallica decided to play
on the other hand Megadeth were still doing their own thing without trying to copy other bands,ok maybe a bit of rainbow but thats his inspiration
anyway
metallica and megadeth equally rox
cheers

I don't think I'll go even if they come.
The best show I ever been to in my life was Metallica here in Park Hayarkon in 1993 with 45,000 ppl. It was their last show after a two year tour and they just gave it all. 2.5-3 hours of mayhem. The energy level was just unbelievable. I even got to shout Seek & Destroy to the mic!!!
There's no way they can do something like this again. So I rather keep the good memory as the last one.
