Hey LA people I just found out they're also doing a show at the Knitting Factory in hollywood on Wed July 21st. I saw Shellac there a while ago and the sound system in that space is great. I'll be hittin up that show. |

I just came back from the New York show @ BB King.. it kicked ass! You're in for a treat.
They kept to the old school psychedelic progrock, really trippy. Great old school visual effects too (no video projectors, just amazing use of effects projectors).

damn what a show!
wish i could have made it for the beginning...
but i snuck in and caught the last 25 mins and the encore, i mean god-damn! these guys created a swirling, jamming, rocking out wall of bass and screaming acid sounds over killa guitar solo and flute wavering in and out of the thundering assault!
they will surely fill up every frequency of any PA they get on. the crowd kinda stood there dumbfounded, but there were a few people dancing, but mostly i felt that it was music to listen to, lots going on, good to see it being played live and soak it in.
and the opening dj is a friendly guy from massachusetts, Tony.... he had some good tunes there before the band or so i heard. shpongle, and some psytrance !
