A big thanks for my best festival ever!!! Even the rain didnt matter. Best dancefloor you could imagine. Super people, amazing locatio e.t.c.... Loved it.
Constructive critizism: (take it or leave it)
Lots of people were amazed at how weird the entrance were organanized. I came a couple of days before so i didnt have any problem, but our friends waited in line 3-4 hours on the openings night. How hard can it be having more than one counter?
Food. Many people i met had a really hard time finding good food. The Indian food was nice, but eating only that for 5 days was a bit boring, and there was always a long que there. And 1 hour in line for a crepe...:-
Obviusly people see these things differently, but for me not eating dead animals (or live ones;-)) and also beeing used that trancefestivals mainly focuses on spiritual and loving, non killing foods, it was really not uplifting, and very surprising, walking thrue the oudors of burnt flesh and big pieces of ribcage hanging in the foodshop by the pub-tent. 4 me, not very psycedelic paradise, but i respect that others may see it differently.. So i understand if you think that eating some of our fellow earthlings has its place, even on a psycedelic fest like this,.. but please, more nice, healthy, vegetarian food 2008.
C u next time!! |

I agree with that. I really would have preferred more smaller, nice decorated shops selling vegetarian food instead of the big tents which didn't fit very well into the rest of the festival.
Besides the indian food i liked the gumbo and the food from tibetcorner.

It was indeed an amazing festival - one of the best I've attended. That being said I still believe that there are things that could be better. Especially the ticket-queue was unacceptable and surely that has to be redone for next years big event.
I have given a full review and taken some panoramic pictures: http://www.magnephia.dk/ozora.html |

great stuff.... fantastic....
full of love and magic smiles
we just got back now but still buzzing from the stunning festival....
such a pleasure to make the main floor deco again .. (though the butterflies were on holiday this year) It is such a great design to work with, dance in and also to play to such an open and receptive dancefloor, even with the storm!!
thanks to daniel, arpe and your very artistic family and to balazs - you choose a great line-up again, the pumpui crew ...erik, attila you are amazing... nanda, ian, dave, adam and the chill out wobblers for holding the space
steve, jess, miriam and mark, keep the wonk on!
pop music rules....
big giggles to alpha, peter didjital, imola and oleg for keeping the stage flowing with smiles and gentleness..
and Ticon.... flippin eck!!!wowzers
ozora just fills me with ..... everything!!

Ok just made it home to Australia and only just took off the OZORA bracelet as a reminder.
What a party. Had the best time, that lineup would only be a dream in Australia so i certainly made the most of it. Got there early so the gate wasnt an issue for me but friends of friends took 5hrs to get in which kind of sucked balls bigtime.
Music wise it was certainly the best party i have ever been to.
Special mentions must got to-
Human Blue - the highlight for me, i have loved his music for ages and since he has never been to Australia this was my chance. Was devastated sheltering in my tent with the storm from hell raging all around, thinking i had missed the chance. Turned out after the re-shuffle that the Saturday daytime was proper "killah".
Liquid Soul - what a 90min, sun was out, energy on the stage was tippy top.
Laughing Buddha - hadnt really ever heard of him before now but i will never forget his music or his insaitable energy. Don't think i have ever seen anyone ever having as much fun as he was.
MWNN - Teleport final track, what more to be said.
Cosmosis - Could teach all of Israel that a live guitar sounds good when it doesnt take over the whole act.
James Monro - place was jumping, he was ace and im glad i got to see one of the pioneers doing the business.
Actually i will stop because i could pretty much blab on about every act that played. Suffice to say my highlights were the music from dawn to dusk on thur, fri, sat and sun. (Had to sleep sometime so night was it)
Great to see the shiteful weather didnt get the better of many at all. Thought the bars were great and the prices the most reasonable that i have ever in my life encountered at an event.
I seriously hope to make it back to this party one day.
To all the organisers a huge thank-you.
Simon
