Dmitry - remember to let me know if you do that snow party.

I am trying to talk my sound people into doing one, problem is in Iowa the weather is random. I want a good foot of snow out there to do it in so we can make snow forts and stuff.

Skeeve - Most people make their own Geodomes from scratch but they have some kits out there. Info here: http://www3.sympatico.ca/geodome/index-en.htm . Just do a search for geodomes and you will find a zillion links on how to buy or make them. We made our own 2v one and it was easy, they are so awesome too!!

Sorry, that is an awful link for domes. The one that the guy that headed the design part of our dome was found from http://www.desertdomes.com/

I looked at that site, and it seems fairly work intensive to build one of these things for a one night party.

Ill go to an outdoor any day of the year its just a matter of dressing properly for the weather. Lots of layers are key. People do all sorts of outdoor activities in winter, so why not a trance party?

just saw some guy from NJ on there offering to build a dome for a modest fee..

and of course you don't build them just for one party - you make all the poles and get all the hardware and cover, and then you can use them over and over again, with no more than an hour or two to set up.

and you can also buy them ready-made, though it can get expensive.

..it's just another party..

Someone mentionet New England?! I was there before the floods and being there for the first time i had a great experience naturewise. That area is so green and clean that i'd love to drive there from NJ to go to a trance party.
