BOOM!!!
Will there be anymore outdoors in the NE anytime soon... Weather is perfect right now... Atleast for a day party??? Indoors are good, but dont we need a party with some fresh air, free of bouncers, and free of alcoholics pinching girls???

i assume you mean the NorthEast and not New England or something else entirely...
really it is just too cold right now for an outdoor party around here. especially at night and somewhere deeper in the throes of nature where it gets MUCH colder than in the city. |

i did mean north east... and yeah, it is a bit cold... and i think you have a point there, deeper in the woods will be more colder... i was just a bit excited as it was pretty good weather for the last 2 days... and the last outdoor was like 2 months back... and you know, everyone would be getting a bit tired of the f**kall indoors... all said, i guess the best thing to do right now would be to make the best of the indoors we have...

i'd totally go to an outdoor party in brisk fall new england weather.....once you start dancing, your body heat combined with the cool air is perfect! plus, if you're cold you can just hang out by the fire or cuddle up with a special someone. i with there were some promoters around with the balls to throw an outdoor in late october/early november...i'd totally be there |

how i wish i could...  maybe after a few years i will... but now i have neither the financial support nor do i know a lot of people to organise one... anyways, if any of the orgs think this is a nice idea, i am very much there...

eh...
we did an outdoor party years ago on 4/20 and it was FREEZING. and that was in NJ in april, not new england in november. it was novel at the time, but not something i would choose to do again. |

people party in the snow all the time in swiss alps afaik
and seattle sometimes they do snow partys
in the northeast north of nyc youre lucky to have trancepartys at all, so its best to support those! sonic beating psyforias and now greenman working it in west mass !
we did a party at the end of october last year in NC and it was 30 degrees, i think it was either the fire or the liquid keeping everyone alive... people did dance finally... theres nothin like pocket warmers, a runny nose, blown out pupils and nonstop raging full volume psy for 2 days at deerfields !

I concur with this statement, and I would be in full attendance and in full raging force in arctic temperatures if need be.
The only issue I can think of would be the fire - we can't have fires in the Pine Barrens without being seen.
And we'd need a fire. |

Yes!!! And despite the fact that I absolutely FROZE that night, my hands were so numb that i had no idea how much I was adjusting the jog wheel on the cdj and frost formed on my cd book when I was djing, PSI3 was a great party...and an experience as well for sure. The thing about these parties where its freezing is that people dance their asses off all night and run around like crazy just because its the only thing you can do....fortunately this makes a great party...tho I don't know if I'd do it again hehe

Propane heaters for DJs are a must. 
If you have a big fire and plenty of firewood, you won't get cold. fire barrels are also handy if there are no fire pits - they are also more condusive for dancing.
large (30 ft diameter) geodesic domes are handy as well, and not very hard to build/set up/take down. We're thinking of doing a snow party in Colorado this winter - with geo domes, of course.
