in germany 4/4-ELECTRO is the top-style in the clubs now. because it includes elements from house, techno, trance, hiphop, electronic roots. and ist very conform to people which are not into hard technostyles and just want to dance and have party.
imo its the very future and i love this style because everything is allowed (like in goatrance and psytrance also everything was allowed in the production for a long time).
anyway iit a matter of time when it will grow up overall in europe and the globe. its fucking working well!

Os that what here in the US we call minimal techno. Could you give some label examples?

The other weekend my girlfriend and I went to a bluegrass festival. my first one. Really cool vibes like a trance party and no ego from the musicians. And dancing was fun.

Progressive/house and it's variants are very popular among the fashionista 'in' crowd. Guys like Tiesto, Paul van Dyck, Paul Oakenfold etc come here pretty often with huge parties at clubs every weekend. Actually some of the ppl that go to these parties used to hang out at the Trance parties...but got tired of the chakas (arsim), peeing in the open and getting their nice clothes dirty so decided to switch over for a change.

I think some of the progressive styles coming out N America are pretty interesting because of the range and variance in the style of music.
Some of it is rubbish, some of it is really good with even some psychedelic sounds in there.
Cheesy house is as formulaic as cheesy full on, so as long as there is variance in sounds I'm interested. This electro from germany sounds quite interesting too in that the mindset is open and anything goes (like it should be imho).
