Organafix- shock horror!!

As most trancies by now know, previously called Getafix, now Organafix, has
recently relocated to Upper Woodstock.
The inside is beautifully decorated and gives you a feeling of Alice in
Wonderland.
Except, on Friday the 13th (go figure) it really was more like Malice in
Gangstaland. As most Capetonians know, Woodstock is gangster territory.
There was a whole scene going on with 4 very regular and devout partygoers
(one of them a dj that plays at the fix quite often) and some dodgy looking
guy called Shariff.
A heated argument started between him and one of the girls outside and he
refused to let her back in. Her girl friend came out to see what the fuss
was about and he started getting quite aggressive at this point.
All the shouting alerted a guy,who said he is the security, and he started telling
them to shut up and stop causing trouble.
They finally managed to get back into the front door, when their friends
came out and that's when the shit hit the fan.
Shariff started going at the one guy with a knife and afterwards I just saw
blood on his hand.
By this time loads of people were standing around and inbetween it
all the security guy was aiming his paws at the dj. One of the girls( only
about 4ft )stood infront of the dj, probably to try and avoid wwf from
happening, and the security hit her in the face, nose bleeding. When she was out
the way, they started using the dj's head as a punching bag.
The guy with the stabbed hand later had to buy these people a drink 'for
interfering in their business' and the owner(working behind the bar) just gave the money straight back.
They left later since one of them were threatened with death.
Now, according to my common knowledge, I thought security is suppose to protect and not attack.
These guys never lifted a hand. I saw the whole thing go down.
That night left me with one question...
Is the fix being controlled by gangsters???
In all that time the owner did nothing. Shariff was never thrown out and
the partygoers were asked to leave. What message does that leave us?
Do we support or boycott such an institution?
Maybe it's time that Getafix GETS A FIX!!!

either way i'll always go back. organifix is the only club in the whole of cape town i enjoyed before i left. well.. one of few...

i think the most telling fact about organifix at the moment, is they are operating ILLEGALLY....
WITHOUT a business licence
WITHOUT a liqeuor licence
or any licence to operate a club on those premises

The Fix has always been a cool place to chillout.
Its not the smartest place.....but that adds to teh laid back charm of teh place.
Its an institution almost.
Come on man.....one incident of violence can;t be used against them like this.
Sure it might have been bad at the time....but have you heard of this happening there before?

Ok, so nice to know your meds are working, cos I am not Gerard.
Rumours of people dying are not what is under discussion here MATE. What is under discussion is an illegal club, threatening legal punters who are trying to keep a scene alive, which you note has been going for 11 years.
In those 11 years, there has ALWAYS been somewhere decent to go to listen to psytrance in CT...and now that is no longer the case. The last time I went to Organofix, Nick E Fucken Louder was banging away at his 1999 hard house CRAP as if he was waitng for 1999 to come and get its groove back.
So I am glad you have a GRAND time playing your shitty brand of whatever the FUCK you play mate, but CLEARLY it's not my flavour psy.
And I don't expect a friendly smile from a person like you, seeing as you think I am Gerard.
