@Deviant Species..your set was gr8 man..love ur music a lot..but people should realize that putting names of artists on ur flyer just to get them to buy tickets is not cool..

I think the reason U-Recken was a no show should come from him directly..same for all the other artists on the line up..then the reality will come out..Fair?

Cubalibra, I've known the organizers for a while and can say there's good will in them, if anything they can be too laid back. I believe U-Recken cancelled last minute as we had to reschedule sets overnight

I went to see U-Recken....he was a NO SHOW and they didnt have a notice telling people about it.. so many people were duped into coming to see their Fav artists..

Never coming back to support these thieves again..!!

I think the rules of the forum are really against negativity. The international community needs to bring about an immediate peace in Iraq; backbiting and unpleasantry on the forum not only are pathetic and look bad, but are bad for the reputation of trance worldwide. Trance is a catalyst for peace and love, and an important point I happen to know is that the worldwide anti-crime wave impacts directly on trance also. Now, slander is amongst the first things declared illegal in the fledgling U.S. Notice that the forum policy/effective prohibition (some of my posts have gotten deleted by the moderators, so I feel free to use such wording) is therefore exactly in tandem with applicable law. If the United States were an aerobics class, and the world a city, and the trance people were the people in the aerobics class, then the aerobics class would exercise instead of fighting. Right? right. Very good.

ouch cubalibra... i have seen alot of mistakes from their sides, and was disappointed myself as a fellow stomper, but name calling and badmouthing wont fix the prob. if u hav any ques. or concerns, u should contact alladin project first-hand right? as the person above me has said, "Trance is a catalyst for peace and love and backbiting and unpleasantry on the forum"
none the less i hope u had an enjoyable time with the other artists there           Welcome to my world where the grass is purple and the sky is pink, Strawberries are blue with white polka dots, And aliens are the BEST Dance partners.

I can't believe that is one sentence.... good one!           We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home.

Look at the no of people saying the same thing as me....

contacting them first would solve what? they would just try to brush it aside..its natural..they are not newbies at throwing parties and should know better..

you can cut them slack if they were new to this..but obviously they are not..

just portraying a false +ve image of everything only serves the promoter..not the people in general..

I don't mean to cause offence because I can tell your intention is a positive one... but I think this kind of happy-go-lucky approach to everything is precisely what inhibits psytrance culture from growing to meet its full potential. Fact: there are shady operators in this scene that renege on promises, fail to pay artists, and put the safety of their patrons at risk for any number of reasons: incompetency, greed, delusions of grandeur. Yes, this is negative--but if we suppress is then the shady operators aren't going to clean up their act, live acts and DJs will continue getting screwed, and unknowing customers will continue to attend their poorly organized events.

It is misguided to assume that all people involved in trance culture are beings of love and light. Many are snakes. If you feel strongly that some form of positive change can come out of psytrance culture then surely you understand the need to tighten up our standards of business and organization. The only people that truly benefit from a consensus culture of unrelenting positivity are the wolves and sharks of this community.

completely agree^. reality- Psy-trance is first and foremost a genre of music. As we are all individuals, we are all on our own trips in the spiritual awakening realm. We all- myself included, wish it was all love, peace and happiness... I really do wish it were only that. I do think the psy scene is filled with more love than most scenes- That's why I love it back. But there are snakes and vampires wearing masks who prey upon this love. its the nature of our reality.
As for Alladin, we should all make our personal judgments based off of individual experiences. And that is what a forum is for no? To express individual experiences?

And as for being american...better yet- as for being a human with a mind of my own- it's only right and fair to express free speech- regardless of it being negative or not And NO ONE has the right to impede on my or another's rights. This is something everyone should value for themselves in my opinion. i personally think it looks bad and negative when you try to silence/insult another for expressing their rights. Man has the right to do as he will, as long as its not affecting another man's rights/will. When you repress that in an individual and in a scene- only more frightening dark things can happen.

id still like to express how much fun I had at the festival, and that i think they can still do something about it to make it better, i just think you should concentrate more on whats going on rather than hanging things and deco, when you hired people to do it, you should just let them do it. Juliens paintings will ALL be fixed, he just has to spend a while doing it, and not doing anymore gigs for a couple of months or so, in which hes loosing his income. Its weird you know over the years they've been rained on, hailed on, hung up and down...but now, after this party have rips, tire marks from being run over with your cars...(which in my opinion was dangerous to drive around so much from stage to stage with all those people, dogs, and kids) paint completley scratched off cause of the sharp blacklights you badly hung up directly on the paintings.

All in all, though....i dont regret going, i really love all of you, and the trip was more about the people, and all the dancing, julien had a total blast too, its just something thats very important , and that we were trying to explain to you so much during the set up (respecting us, and the peices) you still didnt want to listen to us, and did it your way, and then this is the result. I know that maybe they have good spirits and good intentions, I hope so. if everyone REALLY works together next time, and not try to control things too much it would be amazing.

I throw parties too, and of course sometimes it doesnt go perfect, but i do everything i can to respect all artists, and appreciate them, in the end i think they like to come play or decorate for me, and the partys always have such a beautiful magical vibe....
we still thank you for the booking, hope that things get better...they can only go up at this point i think:)

Its not about being dumb. Arrogance leads to things beyond anyone's imagination. I bet this festival is thrown by people who do it just because they feel more important and special. They do it merely to shine all the spotlights on them. Of course, with intentions like these, there is no respect for other's inputs, or the community as a whole. By the sounds of it, these promoters better improve their act fast, or they will lose their momentum before they'll know it.           Aerodrömme (http://www.myspace.com/aerodromme)
