That was loads of fun. Shulmans set is really the only thing I remember and it was absolute bliss. This mans production is so crystal clear that you can hear each and every single sound distinctly, which is great.

p.s. Dashark and gang, thanks for all the good vibes - it was nice meeting you guys.

Alladdin Project, you should really pay attention to the music schedule next time. All weekend I heard people complain that they didn't know when their favorite artists would be playing, and who's playing at a certain time on a particular stage. Also, having two stages that compete for the title of "main" at any time is just stupid. Why did Onnomon have to play for an empty dance floor at the same time slot as Protoculture/Atomic Pulse on the "main"? There was also a pretty good electro DJ who got the same treatment. It's just sad to listen to uplifting stomping dance music when the dance floor is empty. Why was Shulman who plays chillout have to be rudely bumped off the stage at by some Israeli schmuck, who literally pushed all Saturday night chillout lineup aside to play a set of crappy tech house, which he pre-programmed in Cubase and pushed "play" button once while standing around on the stage looking ultra-important and sipping his Red Bull while the fucking chill stage HEADLINER had to sit aside and WAIT for this shit to finish???

Agreed, Gui"AUm"etrix makes a good point about errors on the lineup. There was definitely some misrepresentation with the visual artists. For posterity, here is who actually did visuals at the festival:
Friday, on the screen at the chill-out stage (aka the pangea stage), Vostek (myself) performed for about 7 hours, and VJ Exeris performed for about 2 hours, and we mixed between us for about an hour. On Saturday I performed for about 7 hours, and had the help of Blizzart who played solo for awhile, and then for a few hours we mixed together (way fun!)
Projections on the screen that was farther away from the chill-out stage by Levitation Theory.
On Friday Peter Parker had a video installation on the path above the chill-out stage.
On Friday VJ Spook did visuals at the Main Stage, I think all night.
On Saturday I think Serge did the visuals all night, but I'm not positive since I was busy at chill-out stage most of the time.
Also not on the flyer, respect to Ocular Delight for doing a great job with deco at the chill-out stage.

Kife, agreed about the schedule as well! timeslots were off, and I was one of the few lucky people to be present for Onnomon's set, and it should not have been scheduled at the same time as a headliner on the main stage.

its so hard for me to write my feelings down regarding this fest because i had such huge expectations after an amazing time last year and the only thing that lived up to it was the location and *some* of the music.

the line up was a mess up as usual, the organization was all over the place, the security was in ur face for no reason, BIG NAME artists didn't show which is one of the reasons I came to the fest ( urecken, abomination, andromeda, chromosome??????), at one pt. there was only one women's shower working, gross toilets, the vibe was weird at times and the energy was lacking at times too......

i also didn't understand why they had main acts on two different stages running at the same time- it was alll very confusing for me!
u really don't want to be running around between two stages.

on the other hand as always i got to be around my favorite people in a stunning location and some of the sets were mind blowing
my fav acts- deviant species, rafael, Kno-b, wizack twizack, mubali, yoni, ken, ctrl+alt_del,
dr spook, etnica and some more whose mad energy and fun fun fun sets made up for alot
I couldn't stop dancing!
saturday night was beautiful with the stars out and the moon shining on the lake.
echo lake is sooo magical....and the deco was beautiful

thank you alladin for all your hard work in putting this together- its a huge feat but at the same time In my opinion it could have been organized better.

my oscar speech as usual- thanks to all my friends new and old who came down from boston, nyc, rochester, ohio, philli, canada and made this fest a special one- it could never be the same without you guys! YOu all rock rock rock!
rafa & dudu - thanks for a the fantastic set on friday- it was a total Brazilian private party that we had going..LOL super fun!
noam- thanks for making sunday super special u really know how to make a psytrance fest a psytrance fest !!!

get some rest everyone!
xoxoxo

BY THE WAY I GOT THERE SATURDAY MORNING JUST ON TIME TO SEE PROTOCULTURE'S SET....
AT THE NIGHT IN THE ORB STAGE ENERTOPIA ,PHATMATIX AND HUX FLUX WERE SIMPLY PERFECT.
AND WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT THE CHILL OUT STAGE????
NICE DECORATION AND REALLY GOOD VISUALS AND SHULMAN PLAYING THERE WAS A PERFECT TIME TO ME...........

The organization of the festival was, charitably, slipshod. I was one of the unlucky few who believed the notice posted on the Orb website that shuttle buses were to be run from the Binghamton bus station to the site. No dice. Instead, those of us on the 6:05 bus wound up ponying up $25 each to a car service, when the shuttle never showed. The cabbie told us that some festival-goers had waited 4 HOURS for a shuttle, to no avail. Nice start.

The sound system at the main stage was badly set up. Speakers were CONSTANTLY cutting in and out during sets. 10 minutes of loud, full sound, followed by 20 of wimpy bass. This went on for 2 days, and was *never* rectified. Additionally, the speakers were focused so that there was no consistency to the sound on the floor; where you stood affected the sound drastically, and at points the high frequencies were painful and probably ear-damaging. No doubt this is why Deviant Species refused to play at his scheduled time.

No question that this was an ambitious undertaking, a huge line-up, many vendors, massive deco. Personally I'd prefer something a little less ambitious and better organized. It is unforgivable to have bad sound at a psytrance festival!!!

In any case, thanks to everyone who showed up with their great vibes, and to the DJs who went above and beyond, keeping the party going until nearly 6 on sunday. Props to Deviant, Etnica, Kno-B and Onnomon: amazing stuff!

Aladdin Project: I love your music, but you're killing me.

On Friday night a middle-aged woman handed a piece of paper to my friend who, lucky for him, did not read it until the next morning when he was sober. It stated the following:
"There is something naff a number of people need to know, and that is that Western European 'hydraulic' trance has apparently been this horrific mass murder cult for many years. Actually this matter has been reported to the authorities (eg Amnesty Int. SFPD, NYPD, NYFBI, German Govt, Iranian, Govt, Indian Govt, the Hague Tribunal on Yugoslavia, and others) It takes a lot of hard work to keep off the Western European massa murder cultists...Safety first! If someone freaks you out, the person is probably up to no good. Always be careful: try never to be alone with people you don't know and exercise extra caution e.g. on your way home from tance events. Let's unit in peace and love and keep off the bugbear. btw at the moment you can opt also to help this effort by pressing good government for details it has found out about the mass murder cult on its own. Thanks and love! t...

First of All... I'm assuming this is complete bullshit because this same crazed woman spent most of Sat night mumbling to herself at the Orb Stage.
Second... Why the fuck would you ever give this to anyone who undoubtedly has a head full of drugs.
Third... The only "good government" is no government.
Fourth...There is absolutely no mention of this anywhere on the internet so I think that efforts should be made to prevent the spread of this negative propaganda. This scene (to me) is all about positivity so why would you spread negative vibes. Any thoughts?

my close friends who know Lab personally told me long time ago that Lab wasnt coming to ORB. I met u at gaian mind & asked u if Muktisavra is playing u said yes. Abomination, Andromeda, Chromosome, U-recken,audiophatik, i dont know if hux-flux was there cauz i was at the chill stage at that time. Thats like 7-8 artists that dint show up.

Sound system wasnt working properly. Messed up line-up. even some of the dj that i spoke to were confused n had no idea wat time they were supposed to play.
Dont use big names to promote ur party and get people to buy pre-sale tickets.U shuld have the courtesy to inform us, i am sure u had access to the internet.

The good part: Protoculture, Wizack Twizack, mubali, spook, wichdokta, brandon, shulman and all the other djs were amazing. the location as usual is truly magical, saturday nite was amazing, nice weather cool wind blowing brandon, wichdokta got the nite started with some killer set. good energy on the dance floor. Camping with close friends and making some new was fun.

grt location, nice line up, good energy on the dance floor but organizers u need to stop lying to us, and please be more organized next time.
