The album takes off with a very dark and evil track, Phoenix Rising, a real night addict’s playground. We now travel to the land of the weird (we got few rockers of this sort on the album) named Sand or Snow? The name explains it all beautifully.
3rd track is a pass over tune to the 4rth track, Time Means Nothing; it shades a light on how bizarre trance could be if you want it to be.
If I Shut My Eyes..., is a great track, again, you cant miss the Opsis touch in this tune, pure darkness, killer rhythm section, once again a fearful track (this mate knows how to name a track ).
Never leaving the dark side for a minute the next track is again a killer one, “A Situation” is a total Killer, the rhythm section seems to come from a different new world, combining some bizarre percussive elements tied in a strange rhythmical flow, the problem with this track is that it is a bit monotonic without much progression to it.
The album previews some really fresh sounds and ideas, track 8, for example, "Moving, Drifting", heavy bass drum with an amazing strange sound full of reverb. "No Worries" , a minimal track that will kill all the diggers among us. Right from beginning to the end, Opsis previews his special interpretation for minimal or progressive trance – strong, deep and dark sound.
The last track gives the last reason to purchase this CD, with a real great jewel named "We Exist, Of Course, But Now?”, Not a trance track but I guess the perfect track to describe the musical character of Opsis.
During the process of listening to this CD I have changed my mind hips of times. At the beginning it was really hard to accept few of the tracks and it even was hard to listen, but as the album continued to loop on stereo I found a light behind all this darkness. This is fresh & creative music produced by an artist that doesn’t fear the opinions of the mainstream masses and just serves them with pure art!
This is a great album and not only because of the music but also because of the guts to preview such hard and unique ideas.
2 thumbs up for ZMA & Opsis.

Official label release information:

Panayiotis Pateronis the genius producer behind Opsis alias was born 27 years ago in Athens. His influnces and his great love on electronic music guide him to start producing music for the last 5 years. His very early attempts showed a new upcoming and sophisticated artist and after some great releases on Spirit zone and loopsnoo records as well as with his incredible remix on the french band Paps it was time to release a whole album. The album itself is a pure gem for all those who are into psychedelic trance music.Fat bases, twisted freaky distotred noises and incredible drum loops making every track enjoyable for every dj set and home listening. His music is waved between the hard stuff and the full on.A must have for everyone. We hope you will enjoy this new release.

We Exist, Of Course, But How?
----------------------------------

I have been tripping so faaaar away with this one.
I was chilling down with some friends after a party when our host, knOwing my tastes for DowNtempO Music heckled me saying : "just listen to that one Dude, u'll like it I'm sure"

Was a niiiice idea he had !!

BTW the whole album is also very gOod indeed, very effective TechTrance.

Definitely in my future orders list.

Cheers           .
