Yet, i think it's true that many rockers come to listen trance. i used to hear classic rock, then hard rock, heavy metal, black metal, death metal, thrash etc. and when there was no other more extreme metal kind i just got fed up and started looking for alternative sounds. Then electronic music came into my life with house, then progressive-tibal, Trance, and then got enlighted with the psy... it just took my mind and lifted it into other dimensions... so powerful, extreme and yet spiritual!

I think there is connection between metal and trance in the sense that both kinds demand listeners with extreme and beyond the normal music tastes           human mind is a parachute. It works when it is open...

And we still are listening!!!
Yesterday i found a new cd of a hardcore Metal group which is called The Lard...and this group are all the members of Ministry but in Vocals with the singer of...DEAD KENNEDYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there are no comments...what can i say???????...it 's just great!

Yeah, Lard kicks ass. Jello Biafra is still one of my favourite lyricists. Hail to Alternative Tentacles - 1 of the best independent labels IMO.

When it comes to music I'm like a sponge btw. I like heavy stuff like SOAD as much as lofi independent rock, punk, dub and electronic stuff.
I for myself will never prefer a single genre when there's so much cool music in the world

I've listened to everything from punk, to metal, to death metal, to hip-hop, house, breaks... the list goes on and on. There are imaginative sounds in every genre of music. You just have to cut through all the crap. I have to say though, psy is the most continuously good type of music out there. There are truly no boundries in this genre.

1985 started listening IRON MAIDEN (two minutes to midnight-powerslave )and till now every agressive and underground style from metal, rock, punk, industrial till hardcore.I have noticed many much psy-tracks that are inspired from those hard kinds of music.
Sometimes when I listen psy-trance I feel like listening all kinds of music in one!
I could not compare psy-trance with any kind of music.
psychedelic trance is the best

I listen to death & black metal as well as psytrance/progressive trance. But I also listen to various electronic music as diverse as Autechre to Jean Michel Jarre. Anyway, I find metal to be great if you're in the mood for it. Good psytrance or progressive is something I can listen to every day however. And if we're talking spirit then I think that the psytrance community could learn something from the electronic community, which I find to be a lot more mature. But, anyway, that's MY opinion. (Now to see how many people are going to be immature and react to this in a negative way)           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

as a heavy power metal rocker and psytrance adicte I can say that the energies that led me to the heavy metal also led me to psytrance! when all difrent janers seem to not be strong and powerfull enough to satisfy the heavy metal mind.
like not so much ppl can handel heavy metal, same goes to psytrance.
