initially i used to listen to what my dad did.....
then i moved on to hip hop for a while and finally i made the discovery of psy...the best thing that ive done in my life uptil now........
what wud i be if i hadnt found it???????
and since then only psy psy and more psy is what i listen to ...

well, I was lucky in that where I was brought up (Manchester, UK) there was always an undergound dirty acid tekno scene which I became a part of @ 15! Acid tekno is quite similar to psy-trance so the progression was quite natural...

I was a little “yo yo yo” back in the days but after the army my whole world got twisted around and I decided no more “beeches and nigas” , hip hop just not what it used to B 
So I got in to the electronic music and some alternative/classic rock, started going to house party’s in the clubs but couldn’t connect to the vibe in the college I met a friend of mine from the army he got back from India traveling there for a year he was the “GOA” head  what got me in to all this now there is no way back .

What did you guys listen to before getting into psytrance?
I used to listen alot to metal & hardcore...
must say that I still listen to some metal today |

Beleive it or not i was deep into rap/gansta rap like tupac and biggie and snoop dogg and all of them yet i was open to any other music. Then i met couple of people who were into electronic music, became good friends with them, went to my first psytrance party which was synthetic sadhus with deedrah i think and someone esle but what really got me going was astral projection+etnica party. Since then im hooked. |

The first music that I ever felt passionate about was Nirvana. Then I made the transition into EDM. I first liked jungle (DJ Hype, LTJ Bukem, etc.), then euro trance (PvD, AvB, etc.), and then techno (Sven Vath, Mauro Picotto, etc.). Now all I listen to is psytrance.

Well i listened to all kinds of music at first. Starting from hip hop to R&B to punk rock to heavy metal to house to euro trance and finally psy trance. It was by chance really! I went shopping overseas one day, i saw this compil "A Voyage into Trance mixed by Paul Oakenfold" (well Paul was a legend in euro trance..so i tot hmm must be good!) and the first order donata since i saw both of them from Dragon Fly. Well i listened, and i was like woah!! What is this man!! I got so hooked i didnt understand what genre it was. I looked around and discovered it was psytrance or goatrance.
Coming from a region where there is no psy, i often had to check up websites and stuff. As i checked and listen more, i fell in love with psy. Thanks to www.x-radio.com during that period for allowing me to hear samples and buy them as well. I couldnt buy any psy cds here. Love live psy! |

First i was into Euro trash (2 unlimited and stuff) then at the age of 13 i discovered Prodigy, followed by Chemical Brothers, Leftifeld, Fatboy Slim, Underworld and all the Breakbeat/Techno stuff. And then after i heard a radio show with Astral Projection (i recorded it and listened to it dozens of times) i decided to go and to check. I bought Another World album and then Infected Mushroom, Hallucinogen, Cosmosis and so on.
But i was hearing the occasional Goa before as well. Stuff like MWNN or TIP on Perfecto Fluoro but it never really grasped it. I remember trading off Concept in Dance 2 compilation with Moby's "Everything is wrong" album. What a jerk i was
