... the music that you enjoy.
What were the musics, that you still have in memory until you became a psy lover?

I think i started with my father's taste, ex-Beatles, Phill Collins, Bruce Springsten, etc then it came the metal wooohoo, iron maiden, megadeth, helloween, metallica ... i remember the days that every metal album was a full story, from the track 00 to track 12 (the end).

Hip Hop then punk rock, and these one i still like a lot, punk rock - nofx, pennywise, etc - great energy. Then the intelligent music, chillout, cafe del mar, buddhas, hed kandi's etc & Astral Projection .

The rest...is what we all know

I used to like a lot of commercial stuff, and hip hop, then moved on to classic rock, and really got into raggae- I really liked the conscious message it carried with it. Then slowly I explored electronic music, some acid jazz, space dub, ambient, and then one day I unknowingly went to a Goa Gil all night party outdoors and had a few 'drops'..... and it all took off from there. My life has never been the same since.

Sup!!! how are you!!

For me everything started with things like U2, Pink Floyd, etc....I also liked hip hop and rap.

Later on i started getting interested on electronic sounds starting with progressive but quickly finding the right path.

It was psytrance from the beginning for me . Was quite young when I started listening to the music my brother was playing on his room (about 1996), and just started loving it. Never really got into anything else. Nowadays I dont mind a bit of linkin park/limp bizkit/evenesance etc. But trance is my genre all the way!           :: Life can be as bitter as dragon tears

started out with industrial, KMFDM and Nine Inch Nails, those were the first sounds I really liked. Then Frontline Assembly and Delerium, informed me of both chillout and trance. I listened to hordes of melodic and uplifting trance for a year or so before getting utterly sick of it and diving into progressive and house. Sasha and John Digweed were my saviors. House music never interested me very much, but I liked the progressive varieties. I explored a lot of different genres of electronic music in this time: breaks, drum and bass, and idm to name a few.

Then one day I got really stoned and heard the Orb and Future Sound of London, and my musical tastes were forever altered. Searching for music with a psychedelic edge led me to Banco de Gaia and the almighty Shpongle. From there I rediscovered trance, and found that it could be either progressive or melodic without being boring or cheesy. Old school goa (hallucinogen, astral projection, cosmosis) satisfied my desire for beautiful melodies, and the scando-sounds (atmos, vibrasphere, logic bomb, etnoscope, beat bizarre, etc) fullfilled my prog fetish. So I've just about come full circle.

Sometime last year I began to gain an appreciation of 60's psychedelia (beatles, pink floyd, grateful dead) and jam bands (phish, particle) as well. onward and upward...

Started off real early on stuff like The Smashing Pumpkins. Moved into more industrial territory adding Nine Inch Nails to my favorites and then I dubbed it out for a while with Sublime etc. Then I got into more classical stuff like Tchaikovsky, Holst, Holsinger etc and then into Opera such as the 3 tenors, Pavoratti...

When getting into Electronic I started way back with the Chemical Brothers but then stopped listening to electronic for a long time and came back with a vengeance with Astral Projection. Ambient Galaxy was always my favorite of theirs so I guess that is why I like psydub, chillout, ambient much better than 4/4 fullon which I am entirely sick of by now.

It is entirely common for my CD list to go like this:

Bluetech
Sublime
Shulman
Nine Inch Nails
Pavoratti
Shpongle
Smashing Pumpkins
Ott
Tchaikovsky

I'll even throw in some Willie Nelson sometimes, I like to listen to all sorts of music.

i've started to listen punkrock/hardcore when i has 12 (1996). after that i've started to listen some thrash/death metal. today i'm listening all this kind of music and some emo, grindcore and hiphop. i've started to appreciate the electronic music in 2000, listening some tracks/sets from dj marky, after that a friend show me the psychedelic tracks from Astral Projection and i love it. so i'm still listening to psytrance with 19 years old.           Obiit - Industrial Ambient
