u all right... the artists are to lame to record they own samples... but ..... as an artists... who cares?

there is now copyright law for using Sample Disks stuff...
ammm untill someone will say... " Hey! this must to be stop! " and artist will stop downloading samples from the Internet and buy some Sample Cds, nothing will happend...

good vocal samples are rare (in compare to drums or other instruments CD's)

not every artist knows the repertuar of others..

sometimes u might work on a track - do alot of audio work on a sample just to discover that someone else used the same sample before u.
so what will u do, through it all down the toilet???
sometimes u don't know evn that someone has used a sample u use before ya until the track is out!

if shpongle riped all of that turkish percussion and vocal sample CD in their disc, does that mean I cannot use any of them?

Ozric, I think that after you had worked hard on a sample, you shuold make sure that it's very different from the sourse (in most cases - suits best to your tracks). That what makes you a musician and not a copy paste machine
