Bullshit, bullshit and more bullshit this is what makes a good producer today...Then you hear the music and obviously it is nothing like what is said in writing. I prefer less words and more music.

I believe that stupidity takes care of itself in the end.
When you read that release info, with that new artist being described as the biggest thing ever and you've never heard of him- would you believe it? No. Neither would you believe all the rest of the text. Writing this is like shooting yourself in the leg.
I write and read a lot of release notes. When I write them, I try to describe the music, what it does to me and add some facts- like I do when I write a review. I also try to explain why I'm releasing it. I believe that first and foremost good music sells itself, and I give it the space to do that.
When I read release notes like the ones you're talking about it doesn't really make me wanna listen.

Samsara Recordings presents its second release ‘VA Rajdhani Xpress’ - a very out-of-the-ordinary music assortment. Firstly, it’s the single compilation in the world that features artists only from India. Secondly, it has a rather curious concept. The release derives its name from the fastest moving passenger train of India (Rajdhani Express), which connects the capital city to all important destinations across the subcontinent. Similarly, VA Rajdhani Xpress intends to connect the newly branded Indian dark sound to all important trance destinations!

first thing - yes its the label writing this
let me tell that i think you need to go get a job or somthing that will keep you busy...
because really...is just unbelivble what people
do with their time, i wish i had time for nonsence like this..
i dont know how many cds you sold...but this is my second one and on every cd you see you will get this blurbs...
i just advice you bro - GO DO SOMTHING WITH YOUR LIFE! |

Excuse me while I'm just browsing the new releases list reading the blurbs, trying to figure out what I'll buy next.
Thanks for the advice "bro"  I guess I'll have to get a second job since I obviously have too much time on my hands ranting on about cds.
It's a shame damion@psyreviews is retired, I would have had the pleasure of purchasing your cd just to have him review it...  Cheers |

Just a question this time... What is the first album "Hard Drive" the blurb refers to? I can't find it on the Vision Quest site, can't find it on discogs, can't find it on google or on psyshop...
Any help would be appreciated thanks. |
