* NOVATEKK goes bust!
It is with mixed emotions that we've recieved news from our lawyer that
NovaTekk GMBH, the German trance label, has filed for bankruptcy. Since the
release of "The Great Unknown" they have been able to distribute Koxbox in
far corners around the globe with matching sales. Unfortunately, our
relationship with them has never been cordial and since our A&R left the
company over a year ago we've haven't had much contact.
For NovaTekk M.D. Charlie Rinne, this is the second time he runs away from
the bills after having caused a great deal of trouble in the mid-nineties
with the closing down of EuroMedia.
However, the good news is that Koxbox can now focus on the next album
without worries. It also means that there will be no immediate reprints of
"The Great Unknown", so get it while you can...

It's really sad, Nova Tekk was a truly great label.
And for you who think the trance scene is "dying" because of this: a label goes down every now and then, but for every label that is no more there are like 10 new...

One less label alive... Seems like it´s a label by month, and acelerating...
I wanna believe it´s the law of nature (instead of the law of jungle): everything born, grow, reproduce and dies...
Anyway, "the great unknown" still frightens me... Great offspring from this label. What a perfect album!

Next: NTT (Plastc park / Sunset) or so i guess.
(This is a pure guess and not a knowledgable assesment).
last year we have lost: Flying Rhino, MDMA, NovaTekk, and alot other labels have cut down their release numbers. wer'e going down.

like someone told me, it's the domino effect. one falls, all the others are soon to fall too.... sad, really. but maybe from the maddness, something beautifull will grow, in a brave new world...

Borris, I guess the distribution biz will keep them alive (NTT).
imo, that's the sole reason for Hadshot's survival up to today - their stuff hardly sells well...
