I bought one last weekend & used it for 48 hours before exchanging it for a much cheaper 2x.
The 2x is going new for almost nothing now in most places & is much meatier and IMO more fun.
Cla is heading down a sad slow spiral now, especially going by the looks of the NL A1 or whatever it's called for NAMM

Pelle mode:
Only on the NordLead(1) and the Nordlead2; NOT on the NordLead2X, NordLead3 and NordLead4.
It is an not-documentated mode which produces Physical Modeling and is only developed in an experimental state.
It can't be saved, although it can be send using SysEx. It is a part of the Manual mode.
It has been lost for over 15 years, but was found agian.

It basically a karplus waveguide style synthesis
I had a go at it but no one really knows what the knobs do so its like patching in the dark with someone esle doing the programming,
Sounds mental as fuck. Check out autechre records from the time , they used it quite a bit
Can some one explain the difference between the NL4 and the Nl a1, seems like they bombed on the nl4 and repackaged it to sate the shareholderw
Or is it the price they changed, guy says its entry level
Does sound kinda nice

Actually on second look this is quite an impressive piece of gear

difference between the NL4 and the Nl a1?
4 has wavetables, pattern arpeggiator (a1 only up/down), etc
i think the 4 is much more value for money
a1 soon will be like 1100 euro or so i expect

Nope it couldn't get me interested. And I am a Nord Lover by the way! I have a Nord One and Nord 2 with expansion. I like more the raw old DA converters! |

i love my nord2x...is cleaner e brigther sound than hes broher nord2...but still very "analog" and i can get some good punchy analog leads that would shake on parties heheehehehehhehe
