some reggae/dub
percussions with good players..i love the one that you hit with a stick and it make the big sub bass , don't remember the name..but this with some djembe on top and some strange instrument ,flutes ect ...work quite well to me..poeple are getting in trance like ths since ...and it s still the most effective
last time i heard ludo fabrice ect in ibiza ,it was so good, went deep in trance

I didn't "get" Detroit techno until a couple of years ago and it's such entrancing music.

techno yes..
not really fan of this one but for dark psy fan..1992 , old mills is just so... experimental even after all the years
this one is great
i wonder if some djs where playing that stuff on the beachs of goa at that times

some psy jazz fusion of 60s & 70s, some hendrix ofcourse and a lot of experimental/electronica can do the trick for me.

that would be a list of atleast hundreds but what sets me anytime much much more into a trance than any psytrance are productions from Future Sound Of London.
Amorphous Androgynous is simply a gift of gods for anyone that loves Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Ummagumma and all these psychedelic revolutionaries of music scene from the flower power times.
Oh and Ummagumma is the most magic record of all times. All othere records are certainly psychedelic as well from these guys, but Ummagumma is a recorded trip a huge beautyful magical timeless trip full of mystics love and magic. A true musical mind expanding.
I recommend to have a long trance to this music on loop - the whole album..
