According to the organizer, Audiobahn, there will be no more Andre Absolut. They posted the following mail:

"Hello Jesper

Its time to continue what I started before I got my first record deal.
If i would continue to play Absolut gigs just for the money - it would be
not right and not cool for you, me and the crowd.
Actually it was never my dream to be super-star DJ.. I want to make music
for a broader audience like Movie soundtracks.
I work on two theater soundtracks allready and I defenitely want to push
more in that direction.. From there movies are not far away.
Apart from that my heart beats for other music like Jazz/Pop as well. I want
to to the Jazz Coollege next year so I am preparing for this. I buyed a new
guitar from the last fee in Japan and play now every day and go to lessons
again every week.

Here is a video blog of my guitar progressions if yu are interested:

Next year I should be ready to make the entry test for the high-scool - ist
damn hard by the way but I want it.

So as you see i just follow my heart and try to grow musically.

Instead of doing the same thing till i am 50 years old and acting like a
super-diva that nobody wants to hear anymore. I met enough veteran DJS like
that... - not my appoach really..

My dance carrer was a cool experience but now ist time to move on - so much
music and ideas to do!

Greetings from Switzerland
André"

Sad news, but I guess, its fair enough. For me, Andre Absolut was one of the best producers of progressive sounds.
Perhaps not so "psychedelic", but very deep and groovy, I dont think any true progressive freak didnt notice this act.

I wish André the very best for his future project, he certainly has the skills and the sensitiveness to make it right ! Now I can consider myself lucky to have seen him performing live !

I thought its another death thread, fortunatly its not the case.
Im really glad that there are people who think like Andre and not run after the money and easy life but instead go with their heart.

Good luck man!
