Im sorry to revive such an old thread, but i can't believe nobody knows that "shapi shapo" is derived of the theme song of the kid's show "chapi chapo"

Oh it's French...

"They were really fun and sweet. Chapi (the little girl in red) and Chapo (the boy in blue) would skate around a magical world made of blocks where they would have interactions with other cute characters including a green toy hippo."

Here's the theme song for download...

I've just answered my own thoughts...I had never ever heard of Chapi Chapo. Never ever seen it. But it looks cool in some sort of messed up mood at 3AM in the morning kind of way!           _______________________________-______________________________

Just bought it. Got it highly recommended by Shaminaizer. He said:

To Kire-naj, I agree, more really far-out mind bending music would be welcome. You should check out Nissimyani ,now split up, but their two albums are 100% psychedelic.

I will be sure to hunt him down if he lied .. hrm..

hmm, there's no review of the first album? Well, I bought that one too. Couldnt decide.

correction,
best name to be ever.

all jokes aside - why not pass by the album names/track names by ms-word spell checker before printing? it even catches grammar mistakes...           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

I always thought that the grammatical error in the album title was on purpose, I like how it sounds that way in any case

This album is one of my all time favourites, I've listened to it many many times. It isn't night-time nor really morning, it isn't spiritual/mystical goa nor is it dark and psychosis inspiring; no the general mood that emanates from each of the tracks here is simply... psychedelic. Yes, it really sounds like the Nissimyani boys were mixing this album with the help of Lucy at the 'Sky with Diamonds' studio The leads are for the most part quite simple and repetitive, but the sounds they use are masterfully synthesized and go perfectly with their unique punchy/jumpy bass. The basslines are one of the strong points of this album, they are ever changing, always melodic and scream of psy-trance. Their choice and use of samples just nails in the psychedelia of this release : "Hey, we don't care where you grew up, this is not the drug bulletin board, this is the trip report... stick to your reports please !"

It's a shame those two split up, although I enjoyed Aniki's release, I find it lacks that extra touch that made Nissimyani special.
Row row row your boats gently down the stream; merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream.

This album has been around for awhile now, and I am still enjoying it...regardless of what others say, it is standing the test of psy time...           _______________________________-______________________________

Indeed. I agree with that. I bought this one just to fill up my order and to at least order one full-on cd. I've never come to regret that decision           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."
