Everyone here has been posting question about Morning sets.
Why not Night sets? what would a DJ put in his night set, or better still, in the begining of the party and it's continuence :) |

Night, where a DJ should be able to do almost anything, is becoming realy annoying: people lose their patience so quickly and then u have things like "why dont u play Astral?" at 3:30AM (honest, it happened to me last week), a nice birdy comes in and DEMANDS GMS, and she wont let u even open your case to look for it - I WANT GMS NOW!!!
IMO, A night is a time for digging, a time for dark, rolling, heavy music. The harder people dig during the night, the better they will feel the release of the morning, and parties where morning music starts at 4:00AM usualy end at about 7:00AM, because the morning is already used.
I usualy start with minimal, delicate stuff like The Gnome Effect, Llupis, to Fabel, Amphasis, stuff from Plug&Pray studios and on to real heavy stompers like Bamboo Forest, Brain Bubbles or Magus.
Progressive nights takes patience that is kinda lost to the israeli crowd, something that u can do in Europe more easily. |

night stuff oh yes...:)
well for me a night set (opening) should be :
unplesent
slow
heavy
evil
hard
scary
but not less important : groovy & danceable.
examples? : data entry , disco slickes (though it's a little bit old) , authentik etc. etc. (i could go on for hours)
bpm range should b (in opening set ) : 125 - 141

Depends on the time and the party. in some parties u wont get far by playing minimalistic - at others play full on and they'll smack u...

yeah right...we go back to the GMS@3:30AM issue - in this country its impossible to keep a clean progressive line, there will always be the ass who got his trip up his synoses and wanna start the morning at 4:00am, and that goes to the majority of the people here.
I really stopped caring about it - if people want to start their morning in USA time its fine with me, just dont start complaining that israeli parties end too soon (that's what happens when u start full-on mornings too soon, you get bored after 3 hours max), unless you are in a BDSM party where ppl like to hit themselves... |

haha its all depends the quality of music when it comes to full on music like u talk about hehe. if u play gms for 2-3 hurs continuously i will hit the road. but progressive for endlessly bores me as hell as well that is why ppl complain like that hehe |

well, the first and most important advanage is the total lack of patience. young people dont have to be bothered with concentrating, waiting, ANTICEPATING, just get to the fuckin' point and be done with it (the main reason for early mornings).
Seconly, they r in good shape, able to bounce around for hours, where I had to deteriorate to the "ZooB dance" in order to keep up.
