Younger Brother - The Last Days of Gravity.
Younger Brother are a group that hardly need any introduction. Made up of Simon Posford (Shpongle, Hallucinogen & many more) and Benji Vaughan (Prometheus, The Egg), they have almost unlimited talent between them. These guys have worked on countless albums over the years and this is the most recent. The production is as mesmerizing as we have come to expect from this dastardly duo. Their first album ‘A Flock of Beeps’ was truly a work of art and was widely accepted as another genre busting release.
Yet again the genre is hard to define. Its a melee of electronic, accoustic and vocal sympathies. Its deep, its beautiful, its catchy, its psychedelic, its strange, its uplifting, its melancholic. A wealth of human experience has been poured into this album and it will make you laugh and cry. With no obvious dance numbers on it this time, its a more consistently relaxed affair. It could be hangover cure or a comedown remedy but its also one of those magic albums that you can listen to on a dance floor and totally lose yourself or it can give an afternoon on the sofa a whole new meaning!
They've been playing their LIVE show across six continents for the last 4 years with uproarious receival. With their live set at the Sonica Festival being widely acclaimed as being the best set of 2006 for a lot of people. These guys are pro’s. Prepare yourselves for Younger Brother, coming to a town near you in 2007.
