I would not call it the MUSIC first of all.
What people around call EVIL,is more Experimental Trash Sound Effects Probes.
Mostly none of the ppl making this stuff have any idea about THE Music-notes,gammas,tones,halftones,etc etc -all the things need to be studied to start to make music.
they know Cu Base,Frooty Loops,Logic,and like a lot to play with the controllers of synthezators.
The non-progressing situation on this scene is well described by Detox upper ( monday-sunday story),and this is true.
To make this type of the electronic effectonism is a kind of popular now,for me is much more pop(ular) than what ppl call POP on this forum.
Kind of the dream comes true-everyone can be a "MUSICIAN" now-need only to have comp and download 3-4 programms.Then just seat few hours and put WZZZZ Wiiieev,Vuaaaahhhhh,Wzuiiih,and play with this sounds,putting them wherever they like,"cause this style is good,cause has no rools" how told me one Dark producer once.
They dont try to learn what is the music first-the children of new century,the modern way is easy way,sure,so what they can operate mostly are the possibilities of the EFFECTS to be changed as they want.
I dont speak here about the NIGHT PSYCHEDELIC MUSIC at all,it is quite different,have many real musicians and much more upper age level than this EVIL story,mostly loved by kids. |

Which is why I want to find words other than EVIL. Because EVIL is a dumb freaking way to describe music. It makes more sense to describe music based on its sonic and emotive properties, rather than the moral disposition that we imagine the producers to have.

I really tried and will try again to keep myself away from this thread, but i just had to say that was an awsome statement speaking about POP from Mr Spun Records himself, cmon man... gimme a break, you should know what pop is since your homelabel is located @ ibiza
Ofcourse there is no evil in music, damnit.. it just music, frequencys, sounds.. You dont really need to be a rocketscientist to figure that out.
Speaking about evil... evil is just a description, just like fullon is cheesy and like salsa is sensual.. Really who gives a flying fuck about what you call it?
Since you know what ppl mean when they are speaking about evil music then its a fuckin good way to describe it, right? |

You just prove my point right here. You say fullon is a synonym for cheesy, but you got into it because people were saying evil was a synonym for crap. These words have become like political parties' names, they dont make an effort to give a deep description of the music.
What the f you call it matters because if you dont have good vocabulary youre just pointlessly wagging you tongue/fingers without achieving communication.
On the other hand by wasting my time talking to people who arent really listening to my message, it's questionable whether or not I'm achieving communication, even with my A-1 vocabulary, as communication requires a listener as well as a speaker.
I can't believe this is the biggest thread Ive ever started.

But i wouldnt call evil the description for crap.
Like saying

imho, evil psytrance is a synonym for dark psy, just as dark psy is a synonym for psytrance with a specifik twisted sound.
And if someone think that darkpsy is crap then they can call it craptrance or whatever they fucking want, but evil is not the right word to describe crap.
That would be like full-on is evil in my ears...

anyways you know what ppl mean when they say cheesy music and you seem to know what ppl mean when they say evil music..
Even tho u think its crap, that your opinion... ive got mine aswell, its just the matter of taste right?
so back to the topic... do we need another word than evil to describe it?

My point is and have always been that is all ok to say "crappy evil" music or "cheese" if thats what people like.. then you can see red or not,...It's really your problem in the end if you want to make such a big deal out of our critisism 
I for one do not care one bit if people as they often do in this "tru psy forum" hate progressive House and electro and call it crap and "sissy" music and not "true spirited psy" and bla bla I really do not care and it does not make me defend it..Its my taste and I like it easy as that.
But why i like to poke a little to you is because of the fact that you yourself use the word "evil" on your website (and did once have a goat head hehe).. I don't care why you do it.... BUT to me evil is something related to negativity and that's why I feel its a a weird term to use unless you think your style of music has to be in the negative scale of the spectra and is not related to anything positive?
I can't see why you guys dont drop all the empty "sales" cliche's and just call it something like "deep twisted night psy" or whatever is close to what you think it is... why all the "evil" ect? I do not ask to provoce. I simply just do not get the point.
