I'm diggin it - nice percussion!

The melodies are too quiet compared to the percussion, but all in all it's got a great vibe to it.

Now, personal preference would be to throw in some splashy reverbs and delays on particular drum hits, as the background isn't very full. But then I love dub, so that's my own style coming in to play.

Oi, not feeling the instrument that comes in at 4:40 - detracts from the track, in my opinion. I do like the melody, however. But the sound itself is too, ah, preset-sounding. Good choice in octave though, just needs something less singsongy.

Overall, well done! I wish my chill-out pieces sounded so well.

Hehe "preset-sounding"!
Itīs got to be the ambient vibe sound you are talking about. Itīs a preset sound on my roland xp-30 synth. I think itīs nice

Thanks man, glad you liked it.

hey there.

Drumming is very good IMO...
you play good with the reverbed hits and drier hits on the beat which give it a good living sound.

The structure is also very good ..nice progress in it going up all the time.

Patterns and melodies reminds me a little of older chillout music ... which is not problem at all vice versa it's v ery good i like it.

My only problem is the leads and melodies sounds, those ones should not sound old like the patterns , i miss something in their sound some live feeling that you got in your drums but miss in your leads and melodies.

You sound like you are proud of not using VSTi's ...

I think that some VSTi's with good sound could only do good for your tune.
I also use analog synths in my music ,but I use many VSTi's as well.
You just can't ignore the fact that there are many good VSTi's out there.

Anyway, good track , i like it a lot.
Only need to make the leads and melodies more alive - sound wise.

Hey man, thanks alot for the feedback!
Iīm not really proud of not using VSTiīs, itīs just that today it seems that everyone is using just VSTiīs. Personaly I think itīs pretty boring to just use the computer (or with a midikeybord).
I need the real thing!
To bad itīs fucking expensive to buy real synths
I want to buy the access virus kc now..

I know many people that use VSTi's together with anlog synth (like me)...of course analog synths are much better and you can fill the warmth of them compared to VSTi's
still today VSTi's are much better and some of them have a brilliant sound.

So yes everybody use it but if you change the presets and create your own sound you can get nice unique sound of your own.

As someone who use hardware of Nova II synth and module of EMU i still use some VSTi's to
broaden my sound possibilities.

The classic way IMHO is to combine the use of hardware synth and soft synths. (thats of course if you want and have the money to invest in all of those).

Anyway ...Long Live Analog and hardware synths
