Heavy metal trance for sure would be nice...
I'm working on my guitarplaying, so... one day soon.. 
But that would probably be more industrial rock'n'roll... getting sick of all 4/4 dance-rhytms.. |

i've heard something like "samba trance".. is a commercial shitty thing with some kick and the instruments of samba, made only to sell.. CRAP! i hope the things do not go to that way..
i hope something more powerfull, something that fear everybody on the dancefloor.. like Ulf:G said: "heavy metal trance"!

In the path of Tim Schuldt / Front Line Assembly? Adunno, heavy metal elements in psytrance are what started the full-on genre in general - but the psytrance crowd just doesn't like metal enough (SUN Project are the only ones left that have a bit of a heavy metal attitude... and I guess Skazi too, but that's not the kind of metal music I like).
Eventually the psytrance scene will understand that IDM has much more elegant soundwork and structures and will assimilate this, when people will have enough of psytrance having no musical depth. It may go into total chaos like the stuff coming out of Finland or older Australian stuff (which 5meo-geo has proved to me again and again are much more dancefloor effective than full-on).
Otherwise (and unfortunately, most probably), psytrance will become total cheesy ibiza dancefloor bullshit... Psydrop anyone?
Anyways - the problem is not lack of original/creative/good music - it's the lack of labels that will release this stuff. And even if there were those labels, no one would buy anything. Rip Van Hippy's extremely creative and funky album which totally kicks ass has not been even close to half the sales of the most standard and boring release of hommega this year.
The problem is that with all the whining, no one REALLY wants to hear something different. They'd like it if it would happen, but no one is looking for it really.

I think full on will be considered the same as psytrance, if it isn't already. Also I think full on will become as club trance is today, with always the exact same buildup of tracks, same sounds, a lot of 'pop' vocals and superstar djs. Sorry if I'm pessimistic here.
However 'underground' music will never die. Then if it's psytrance, techno, jungle, idm or whatever doesn't really matter for me. I think electronic music in general is still only taking it's first steps. There still is a lot left to explore.
Be creative, be original and be open minded. That (and some  ) is all we need.  Ut ameris, amabilis esto. |

i think that trance will be more and more based on the experiences different sounds will give us. the more the technology advance the more power sounds will have on us.... and trance will become more of the art of sounds.... maybe they`ll make strange tracks with no kick and bass... maybe just the opposite... who knows... probably in the end everything will mix ... jazz...hip hop... reggae..breakbit...classic and tracke all in one crazy psychadelic genere....
