Thanks for your constructive feedback though - it all goes in the melting pot for the next one.

You are welcome, thank you for listening

Some more ideas which might be usefull for some people.

The following is a pure mathematical approach to music theorie.

Lets say you have a root tuning of a'@440Hz

Hertz are "Beats per second" BPS

1 BPS is therefore 60 Beats Per Minute (BPM)

The strongest Musical Relation is a intervall called Octave(1:2)

if you have a@440Hz one octave higher would be 880Hz and one lower would be 220Hz

If you now what to apply this realation to Tempo and Root note you can calculate it the following:

440Hz are 26400 BPM

One octave lower would be 26400 / 2 = 13200...

Now you can octave it down into a usefull range:

13200 / 2 = 6600
6600 / 2 = 3300
3300/2 = 1650
1650 /2 = 825
825 /2 = 412,5
412,5/2 = 206,25
206,25 /2 = 103,125 BPM

So now we have a octave analogue relation between tempo and root note.

Some years ago I wrote a lil' tool to do the job for me:

http://ansolas.de/goodies

You can enter there in the root key input field any desired tuning, some like 440Hz others 432Hz etc.
Interesting is that the Speedrange is affected by the tuning.(when using octave analogue tuning)

What about a 5th relation etc.

It would be helpfull to include a simple speed to note calculator and sync into PsyKick

Just some Brainstorming

*Peace*

so finally.. its working fine here in cubase 5 on win 32!

BUT:
i dowloaded the file 6 times (did it from different computers to check) and only two times it would download completely. the other times the file would be incomplete but without a warning or a sign that the download wasn´t complete!!

for all those where it does not work:
the file should be 1.123 mb and not less

and finally i had to rename it for cubase 5 to detect it.. and yes it´s an original copy of c5

anyway: it rocks, so big time cheers speaka !!!

Thanks alot mate by renaming it worked for me but the file size was 1.09mb.

Speakafreaka, this is a great plug-in, very well thought indeed, the only downer is that it gets a bit fiddly when I try to put exact values in to it. apart from that its great.
Thanks a lot mate.

hey, great.

Glad it is finally working for you MDMA ... Fine tuning can be a little tricky agreed - not so easy to get hold of the bit with the mouse that needs tweaking - but holding down the left shift key will give greater knob resolution when you are tweaking it.

Glad you are enjoying PPP Timetraveller.

Thank you for a nice kick-tool!
Works like a charm!

How are the possibilities of updating the GUI by for example changing the sliders to knobs and vertical faders, maybe model it after a synth of some sort? please note: I'm not complaining, just suggesting:)

Great job!

Hey, thanks for the Nice tool, the kicks sound great however i'm experiencing similar problems as other people on Renoise 2.1 on vista 32bit. despite the fact that the VST is scanned, it doesn't appear in the list when it comes to using it.
