Had a listen to this set in the headphones today - Overall the mixing is very good, I didnt notice any double beats or loss of energy. On the contrary, I think it gave something to the music here and there - nice long mixes with new grooves appearing nicely in the mixes.
The flow is also very nice, the tracks fit together well but still evolve. There is also a nice blend of more tech house and progressive house/trance tracks which worked well for me.
Some of the vocals I didnt like - Namely some Electro ones with sorta a computer voice, and there was also some vocals with some female "uh yeah" kinda thing. (Mmm, Uhh ahh something). Other than that, I also heard quite pleasant vocals in the set also - so, its both good and bad there. Vocals are tricky.
Regarding mixing I only noticed 1 thing I didnt like, which was the mix into "Belo Horisonte" where I can hear the pitch bend dragging some of the tones down - Thats also being very nit picky of me
Also, was there seems to be some echo effect or something applied in the track ? My version sounds different somehow Cleaner sounding, less twisted actually.
All in all I had a good time listening to this set, and I will be doing so again in the future. I can recommend this download to anyone who likes slow progressive & tribal tunes with a pinch of electro.
Looking forward to more progressive sets from dear Mr. Clown

wow.. thanks for the detailed review.. hehe.. im surprised you didn't pick up the little off-beat in the first mix as well.. not as bad as that last one (damn last mix) hehe.. I love those types of reviews.. makes me believe you took the time to listen to the mix
i will listen to your mix asap as well and comment..

I actually think I have a growing insensitivity towards mixes who might be slightly off beat... I definately have more tolerance, at least when it comes to other peoples mixes.
Slight offbeats annoy me less now, than for instance dissonanse in the mixes, badly structured mixes or EQing - Not to speak of flow etc...
I think, a lot of tracks are virtually impossible to mix without creating off beats, if the beat is "thin" enough, and the tracks are drifting due to lack of pitch control + the mix is long enough.

BTW - I found out why Alexander Kowalksi "Belo Horisonte" sounded weird in my ears, it was because it was the album mix I was comparing it to in my memory
