Hello all. I just recently started using Logic 9 and my primary focus is producing psychedelic trance music, which is basically all I listen to. It is my passion. I have searched around a bit on this forum but haven't found too many helpful links, tutorials, etc.
Does anyone have extensive experience producing psytrance on Logic on this forum?
What are the best plug-ins? Can anyone give me pointers on creating basslines and those acidic synths?
Thank you I can't wait to make some great progress. I have a couple years of experience with Reason 5, but none with vst based programs.
es2 is really good synth, explore es1 and esm for standard psy basslines, check out this recent topic about that, there is some good starting presets made by PoM http://forum.isratrance.com/making-basses-in-logic/

good tip is that the 10 years old es2 can sound really good, plenty of artists use it .
it s not psy but i read i think it was armin van buren say you dont need more than es2 to make 90% of the sound used in trance.
bassline you can use your favorites plugs or use some saw that comes with logic sampler and program them inside, or sample esm , make bass with es2.. logic comp is great too for normal use as long as you don't compress very heavily..the modulation fx are good ..
i recently got albino 3 as well plus a bunch of presets. for some reason it won't let me load the files even though they are fxp....am I doing something wrong?
