Hi all, I've launched a new collectors label called Somnia, and the first release info is below. Its a limited edition, and once they are gone they really are gone. Im sitting at home constructing each individual package by hand, signing them, and sealing them with my love and intention.

somnia 001: evan bartholomew 'caverns of time'

deep emotional and textural ambient music in the eno, roach, rich school of sound design. sine wave minimalism and dsp manipulation of organic source material create an atmospheric and spatial album of cavernous depth and underground emotional movements.

the caverns of time explores a mythical journey into subconscious realms, and is an attempt to explore the deep waters through an experience of sound.

this CD is limited to 777 copies, signed and numbered, hand stamped on hand made paper, hand sewn, and sealed with a wax stamp.

incredible cover art by ray massini.

you can hear the album in entirety and purchase at the somnia website. for those of you in Europe, I have copies in the mail to Ultimae, so you will save on shipping to purchase from them. Copies in the mail to Global Chillage in Tokyo for those in Asia, and copies on the way to Aleph Zero in Israel for those of you there.

Yeah, you can get copy 666 if you really want it. I keep a master document of who has which numbers, so if you want the same number on subsequent editions you can request it.

#1, #13, #23, #3, and number #777 are already claimed for all subsequent releases.

I didnt mean subsequent editions, cause I will not reprint this title, I meant the next releases in the series.

Ordered myself a copy. Didn't even need to pre-listen to it. You produce some great music and I'm glad to be able to directly support your endeavors. Cheers!

Ha! And who is going to pay to get the vinyl pressed?

Seriously, vinyl is crazy to press, crazy to ship, and crazy to keep around. Maybe if I had a bigger house I would make vinyl.

With this kind of ambient you have a chance with vinyl IMHO           http://www.chillumafia.com

I honestly dont know the vinyl market enough to try a release that way. If lots of listeners contacted me requesting vinyl I would consider it, but honestly in the entirety of my music career I've only been asked for vinyl maybe 5 times.

I do recognize the superior sound quality, and totally appreciate that the artwork can be so much bigger, but the costs are incredible to press vinyl!
