Hi all, I've just finished a new deep ambient album under my "real" name Evan Bartholomew - "Borderlands". You can hear audio samples and purchase the CD at www.nativestaterecords.com on the releases page.

I've included the release notes below. Do the right thing, and support the music, don't grab the album off of soulseek. I put a _lot_ of time and energy into this one, and it was a difficult emotional process to get this music out of me.

Just to allay fears, even though I've got a few side projects happening, bluetech music is still very alive and well. Im working on a new album as we speak and am committed to finishing and releasing it this year.

"
”Borderlands" is neo-classical, ambient minimalism at its very finest. Evan aka Bluetech has produced a brilliant ambient CD, and created his own unique brand of soundtrack music for the expanses of imagination in your mind. Reminiscent of Eno, Glass, Reich and the current innovators of ambient music, ”Borderlands" is a distinctive and creative masterpiece that continually breaks new ground. It is easily on a par with some of the most provocative soundtracks of late.

There are eight themes explored musically, each in couplets, expanding the interpretations between two linked experiences. The themes include birth, memory, dream, fever, medicine, practice, death and tomorrow. The liner notes (please note: beautiful packaging!) take these core ideas a step further, briefly developing the thoughts behind the delivery.

Fans of the fine Bluetech CDs will likely be very satisfied with this mostly beatless release, while ambient/space fans from all corners should flock to this “Borderlands” montage. This is a CD you will want to develop a personal relationship with, as discoveries galore await the listener."

We're working on it, however, it seems beatport are not that eager to get downtempo stuff in there. We hope to solve it soon- you can help by writing them, of course.

All our releases are available via all the main download shops (iTunes, Emusic, Napster etc.) and through ambient.us (a very nice independent download shop).

You can of course by the CDs, either straight from our website or on all the main shops.

Hope that helps.           The next step in sonic evolution!

I think ambient.us is a good choice for music. We're launching our own service at www.nativestatedigital.com

Current native state releases are there, but we are going to offer lots of exclusive EP's from established and new producers. More info soon!
