n00b question but can anyone here explain how you'd use multi-band distortion/saturation in the context of psytrance ?
Have only seen it being used on bass with VB1 back in the day.

Try it as an special fx on kicks and other kind of percussion like on breaks or special parts not on your main kick.
It can provide grit and texture to synth lines specially acid. It can aid to give an unnatural timbre to an otherwise simple synth, if you tweak the bands in strange ways .
I usually use it to make a sound more aggressive. |

thanks for the tips aciduss, can see it working on an acid line, theoretically makes sense if you're not looking into distorting lower frequencies but adding a bit of crackle on top, shall give it a shot.

i like fabfilter saturn beter then quadrafuzz ! my basslines sounds better with that then quadrafuzz ! try it and you will hear the diverence peace out |
