Hello everyone
I live with my parents and I almost always have someone in the house , so I just cant use my studio monitors all the time
I want to buy great headphones , so I can work with them many hours a day and mixing on them . Something that will emulate monitors maybe .... ?
Of course I will do my final mixes on the monitors but I must have good pair of headphones to work more hours on my music .
I don't mind to invest a lot of money in headphones if they justify the price
I have heard good thing about the HD600 and HD650 by SENNHEISER ( Cant find the difference between them ) .
Any other suggestions are welcomed

I have Sennheiser HD280s obviously they are not the caliber that you are looking for, but as far as the brand I have been very happy with them, they have really helped my begin to train my ears.
If you go to sennheisers website and look at the "technical description" the the 600s an the 650s you can see the difference. seems like small differences but I am no expert so i cannot say
there is also this: http://forum.isratrance.com/sennheiser-hd650-vs-hd600/
have fun with your search gear shopping is always nice --

i use ath m50 and DT 880 PRO i like both .. for psy if u need to mix the kick bass the ath is really great ..to what you plug the headphone matter, a good headhone amp ,i though it was bulshit but when i switched from my rme converter headphone out to metric halo the sound is really in a other league to me. so imo for serious work with headphone you can add a good headphone amp as well.
check on gearslutz you will find lot of info.. ath is getting lot of love, more and more for electronic mixing cause of their low that translate great, while dt and HD 600 / 650 DT 880 seems more praised for rock and stuff like this with a flater response and probably more detailed mids and highs ,the athM50 sound more hyped.. in that price range they all have pro and cons so hard to choose...ath is similar to dynaudio, while the dt 880 is similar to adam maybe it can help you to get a idea of their sound familty..ath is easier on the ears and you can use it for hours with a warm musical sound and good translation of the low |

Thanks for the comments guys
Mostly , I produce electronic music ( psy, dubstep , clubtrance etc. )
But I have some projects that are more about rock and metal stuff and I also learn to write soundtracks that include a lot of classical instruments .
The ath m50 seems perfect for the electronic side .
Would it be good idea to buy the ath m50 + another headphones for more detailed mids and highs ? |

For now I have to choose between - BD DT 770 PRO /BD DT 880 PRO / SENNHEISER HD600/HD650/pxc 450 .
Another option is to buy now the ATH-M50 and latter on buy one of the mentioned above or another lower price headphones for the mid/high ranges( lower priced SENNHEISER or BD ) .
What do you thing guys ?

AKG K701 here and working very fine after few hundred hours (more open and airy).
Bass side is 'smaller' if you compare Sennheiser but it dont lie. I had HD 600 and i felt them a little bit difficult for mixing, but for mastering they very good and also for feeling music and movies even better.
Remember if you get some nice headphones you could want to get something between them and audiointerface, especially Sennheisers need some amplifier in my opinion. With AKG i have Presonus central station and its working fine, i get the power out..
