Following a fine tradition of slyly changing Ohms for Oms - Ohm Shiva / Om Biva

How appropriate, though, that the sound of a big hippy meditative chant should be *practically the same word* as a measurement of something cool and electrical? Hey. Some things are just written in the stars, man           always with the monkeys..

ummm this was a sad start to the night i have to say... I also fell bad for LimLim and Nick and everyone cos it was clearly not there fault, but rather the fault of the owners/414 people....

Actually the evening started off very quietly as well. Pavi you wouldnt have been impressed even if you had made it inside - till about 10 minutes before it was closed the music was very quiet and the place felt cold and empty. There was much more atmosphere upstairs in the chillout where PD was playing.

I think maybe it was too early to use that venue. I mean I like it as well, and it is easy to talk with hindsight.... but maybe it'll be ok in a while when it is finished.

I had a really nice evening in the end with asi and some other people at a pal's house about 5 mins from Loughbrough Junction.... listening to some tunes and sitting around in a stupor till 8am.... but it was not what was planned!

Next week i take a break....

Hey, Asi.

I don't want my first post here to be negative, so I'm going to have to restrain my emotions a bit here, 'kay?

Firstly, the events of Saturday night was no fault of *any* of us in the crew. I don't know what you think we do - but I can assure you that once a month, a group of around 5 or 6 of us work our butts off all day. In the case of Saturday, we had variously been there since eleven that morning. The month before, some of us (including myself) were there overnight.

We put our heart and soul into our parties. We do it because we get a real boost out of seeing people have fun in the spaces we help to set up for them. We all support ourselves - anyone expecting to make money out of the psy-trance scene will always end up disappointed, and we know that. We've always gone out of our way to avoid the politics that sometimes infect the scene - and we've always given 110% to set up a party that people want to go to. I've never known of any bad press about us in the past.

You know, I've been on the verge of crying non-stop for the last couple of days. As I can see from what people have written, you guys were disappointed by what happened. How the hell do you think we felt, Asi? Bearing in mind that we'd given everything we had, for over 10 hours, to set that place up - only to have to take it all down at 2am? Personally, it felt like someone had attacked a member of my family. It felt like a suckerpunch to the gut. It felt like we'd run the length of a marathon, only to be told at the end that there had been a false start. I could look for similes all day - but I hope you guys realise the point I'm making.

We were gutted beyond belief.

Asi, if you'd like to tell me why you launched into that attack, without providing any reason whatsoever, I'd be all ears. You'd have got a refund if you'd hung around long enough - It was the venue's security - not ours - who were trying to get people out of there quickly.

As for it being a bit empty at the start - I guess that was just bad luck with the Thameslink being shut down and the Tube being screwed at the moment (It took us hours to get down there in the middle of the day). The last party at that venue didn't get moving properly until about 2am. We were hoping for the same thing again (the queue of people outside was bearing out this line of thinking).

We're all really sorry for disappointing you, guys - and we promise we'll be more careful about making sure the venues are legally sorted beforehand (as far as I'm aware, we were told that that one was)

Asi, I don't mean to be nasty, but could you please think before posting such hurtful stuff? You know how to get in touch with us if you have any complaints - we'll help if we can.

Anyway, I've got to be up early tomorrow, so it's bed for me. All I can say is how sorry we all are that your nights were curtailed - and we'll do everything we can to put on a KILLER party in the next month or two.

Peace all,

J.

hello everyone!!!!!! ....................
on behalf of myself - and the organisers - i am very sorry for a wasted evening. basically, that venue is not lisenced, that's why it was shut.
i was told by the powers that be that improvements would be made to the venue......obviously this was not the case.
asi - my deepest sympathies......i could see the sadness and anger in your eyes at the party and felt your negative vibes, i dont suppose anything i say now can change that.
......and respect to all those who have shown understanding!
oh well, gives a bit o' drama to the seeeen.
good luck to the natural order cru. may the future be brite for u!
yours sincerely....................

incidentally, for those not aware - we had 2 backdrops stolen from the venue in the confusion. If anyone knows anything about it, please get in touch with us, as at least one of them was borrowed from a friend of ours who was utterly gutted.

We don't want to cause any grief, we'd just like to see them back if at all possible.

Thanks,

J.

ok joe, let me explaine to you why i was so upset, first of all i know its not the organizers fault, and im sorry that i'v been to harsh but i was very upset at the time (maybe i wasnt supposed to writh what i wroth), but i was just trying to tell the truth how i felt at the moment, i dont want to hurt anybody...Really, but when i got to the place i felt like i'v been ripp off, 12 pound to get in (People this is not the astral phoenix), and i didnt got my refound back after trying to ask averybody (and im not the only one), and the place was cold, i didnt liked the music in all 3 rooms, and 3.5 pound for a beer !?

so i want to say sorry if i hurt anybody, and i really hope you can do better then this, and i wish you all luck, but for me its not my style.

sorry and cheers

and joe if you want to talk more i'll be glad if we talk in private.

and onther thing....i know that the organizers do there best, and i know they are really nice people, and joe i didnt care that the place was empty, but at the time when they closed the places i just thought why the Oranizers didnt thought about it before the party.

so i know that you will do everything to make the next party as good as it can be and i wish you all luck.

OK.

First off, I don't know if you've put a party on in London recently, but the lack of venues is causing a real problem. They can charge a fortune - and they know it. I don't know the exact numbers, but I do know that there's more money involved than I've ever had. For your money, you were supposed to get 3 rooms of music for 8.5 hours (Even the big parties only tend to give you 2 rooms for 6), and we were going to keep it going for as long as we could.

The music itself was only really beginning to get going - and if you know the guys in the line-up at all, then you know that there would have been something for everyone by closing time.

As far as I was aware, the venue had a license. I'd also been promised that they were going to sort out the bar prices (which we raised a big objection to when we found out how ludicrous it was). We ran the (IMO reasonably priced) cafe, but the bar was run by the venue.

I speak only for myself here, but I feel that we were taken for as much of a ride as you guys. The problem is, until we get more and better venues, how are we supposed to avoid this?

Well Asi, I and the group of people I was with got our refunds. People wree told if they wanted a refund to wait until the place was cleared and that they would get their refunds. If I hadn't been so broke I would have not been bothered but alas finances..Can't really fault anyone on this as really, no-one had a clue what was happening!

Beer was a tad pricey, but then where can you go to a club in London that beer is not expensive?? Unfortunately I did not have time to sample the mulled wine and chai, but they were both reasonably priced. Cafe Cairo used to charge £3.50 for a glass of cheap plonk!!

For the short time I was there I was loving the music, all the rooms were warming up. There was loads of space for me to play with my poi and kicking tunes in the small downstairs room.

Well I have not been put off! I look forward to seeing Natural Order bounce back

Exactly Asi, everybody has different opinions as to what makes a good night! You not been a fan of Natural Order nights does not mean that you have any problem with Natural Order, just that it is not really your bag!

I agree with you that Saturday was a washout!Still look forward to making up for Saturday at the next Natural Order!
