I used to get messages from some members daily like "please comment on my top" or something similar.. that's stupid ego boosting!
but..
this whining is stupid also.. you don't like the forum? fine.. create your own one or join another one...

I think you've misread andres. he does like it here. but, like many others, he is entitled to have an opinion about certain aspects of this forum. it's not as simple as "oh, you don't like it so piss off and go to another place". No. this goes way deeper than that.
this subject has been bashed to death, flamed to a crisp and hashed like an old potato peal, yes. but we have yet to find concrete answers or sollutions. so, is telling someone who presses the issue to find another place solving the problem, or is it stagnating it? on the other hand, andres, is flustering and being immature after posting an important issue is the correct path?
we've all digressed here from the main issue. it's music. we Love this music. we care about. we sometimes see that others care less about it. what can we do about it? THAT is the issue here. don't stagnate the problem. work it out. find sollutions. some people here have some interesting ideas, ones that can also be usefull in real life, as opposed to theories. come on, people. lets work together, not against each other. that's plain stupid.

I find the moderation to be very heavy and restrictive here... which would be fine, but I've had topics deleted without explanation - and with no response to follow-up emails or PMs either. I just shrug this off but this means I usually don't get a good feeling from the place... additionally the moderation trickles down to the user level in the form of fussy old-timers who slap down new users and infrequent visitors with dismissive comments. With the focus being on trance discussion, there are only so many topics that can be made over time - if you've seen it all before and have no interest in reading it, then just move on instead of stirring up negativity.
Just a thought...

I like it here! It helped me 2 find ppl in the new country! Yes, there are sometimes really primitive ideas, but its not that bad. Kids are growing. Lets teach each other.
