ehehhehe .. this is a long winding path .. ive been there done that .. As i'm sure most people here have .. now lets see... where did it all start?

Ah yes .. at the age of 10, it was all the pop, when I didnt know better and was guided by my older sister, and the entire NKOTB craze .. there were a bunch of cute girls then too, though my libido wasnt strong enough then :) ...

then came metallica at age 12 ... I could have sworn there was never a better song than enter sandman, or nothing else matters ... Metallica basically put me on the long, winding path of rock music in a lot of its forms .. there were some other metal acts too, though not significant enough to mention ...

Next came the doors with the exhibitionist appeal of Jim morrison, and his so-called attempts to be deep and profound and shit .. I actually fell for it for a while, and still like a few of their songs ...

And then I discovered Nine Inch Nails, around when I was 16, and was affixed like never before. That`s my first signs of electronic, and I still love the downward spiral, and pretty hate machine, though the fragile kinda sucked ...

Somehow then, I stumbled onto floyd and ledzep, not long after finding NIN, and there it was, magic in the music for the first time I'd ever heard any... particularly floyd, I still worship those guys, and listen to them almost as often as I do psy ... theyve really been the only people Ive listened to consistently for a long period of time. like for the last 5-6 years, and still going strong ...

Anyway, the sounds and effects in NIN and floyd made me yearn for electronic, as I first discovered in the likes of Sasha and digweed, and Paul Oakenfold. Digweed still isnt all that bad, but the others are more nitzhonot than nitzhonot can ever be :) ... all the euro trance, house, watever scene just pisses me off ..

Then, around two years back, I went for my first full moon party, and tried psychoactive substances for the first time, and thats it. Everything changed. I was struck with awe at the sheer beauty of it all (getting a bit poetic here). It was an experience like no other I had had before, and I somehow knew that it set up a relationship between me n psy trance that would last long, very very long, something that had an even stronger effect on me than the one that first listening to pink floyd gave me ....it was like finding something I'd looked for my whole life, the most complete music I'd ever heard. now its been two years, and each day that I listen to psy, I only like it more :) ...

I`ll be back here in ten years saying the same thing :)

Idan: I remember Trance Mix 5... Hallucinogen - LSD and Akasha - Ace of Wands!

my fifth trance CD. Excellent one too.

and it shows how the trance scene was in the "before Hallucinogen - Twisted" days...

Thank god for Posford :)
