Diving Bell and the Butterfly

Directed by Julian Schnabel
The movie is a biopic of Elle's former editor Jean-Dominique Bauby (Jean Do) who was diagnosed with the Locked-in syndrome and spends the rest of his life locked in a hospital in his home town.
Despites Baudy's condition, he manages to publish his memoires with the help of a speech therapist, using only his left eye.
the movie is a must see. Eventhough the story is not 100% new to the Cinema industry (i.e. my left foot, and the sea inside), Schnabel uses a different approach basing his movie on "collages of facts, dreams and fantasies", and "constructed as a puzzle", the movie focuses also on the various relationships surrounding Baudy's life, and how the people around him were dealing with his situation: (Kids, wife, lover, father, best friend)
This is an incredibely honnest and touching movie..
Highly recommended.

Just saw Charlie's Wilson War which is based on the incidents on Afghanistan when the Russians invaded the country and how the Americans helped the locals.
Great movie and great perfomances especially from Seymour Hoffman.

i had not seen this movie ... but its really shocking and sad.. i do remember watching the video footage of the execution (b4 i knew who he was) many years ago .. but watching this movie now , really makes me feel sick . they will burn in hell .
