@shroomz
long time no see bro
info for leh:-
There are 2 roadways to get there both open in may (depends on the amt. of snow)
the first 1 goes from srinagar to leh & the other 1 & the more used 1 is from manali via Baralacha La
U can also fly to leh from delhi or jammu.
i wud really recommend to go via road bcoz that road journey is matched by the other road journey in the world.
the views are breathtaking & jaw dropping to say he least.
WARNING :- it's not a walk in a park road trip this one the roads are dangerous & it's a long & sternous journey in total it's jus 550kms from manali to leh but it takes more then 2 dayz for u to reach there. Also note the last petrol pump is in tandi near keylong.
places of intrest around leh:-
Tso Moriri (big big lake & a big plateau as long as ur eye can see)
Pangong Tso (whateve i say bout this lake is no where near to it's beauty) (Note :- u require permission from leh to visit this place no overnight camping is allowed there) (one more thing that if u are intrested in birdwatching this is the only place in India where u can see Black Necked Cranes)
Nubra Valley (u have to pass through the highest motorable pass in the world 'Khardongla')
& also the many monastries which u sud visit.
  the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!! |

@sure_smoke_alot
Hey .. am around .. good to see u back at ur best ..
Well, I did some research and found out about the 2 ways to approach Leh ..
Now am interested in going to Leh via the Manali road .. Am jus worried as the pass might be shut during april which means i would have to take the one from Srinagar or fly to Leh ..
Both the options am not happy with ..
I want to head via manali so i can see the Lahul / Spiti valley..
Also wanted to make it to Pin parvati valley but then it goes a lil off course.. Lets see
all depends on the weather this year and the amount of snowfall ..
@Karan .. Chandratal .. wow .. lets hope I make it there ..
Lets see how it goes .. More research will always be ON ..
Thanks a lot for your inputs .. Makes things much easier ..
Keep em coming ...
Cheers ..
Btw Manali thread back up in India section .. yeee ...

You should ask some locals where Shambhala a.k.a. Shangri-la is supposedly located. once you get there, drink ayahuasca and maybe they'll let you in, lol
