The Acid House is one of my faves, and almost noone's ever heard of it. It's based on Irvine Welsh's novels (the dude who made Trainspotting), it's so crazy I love it to bits.

I read it too and loved it a lot, never knew they made a movie based on it..           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

A Dry White season (1989)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097243/

One of the rare movies with Marlon Brando that you don't know about.

South Africa
Ben du Toit is a schoolteacher who always has considered himself a man of caring and justice, at least on the individual level. When his gardeners son is brutally beaten up by the police at a demonstration by black school children, he gradually begins to realize his society is built on a pillar of injustice and exploitation.

Awesome drama with Donald Sutherland, Susan Sarandon, M. Brando and Jurgen Prochnow (you might know him from "Das Boot" and some other movies).
Anyway - highly recommended, I know really only a few people who have seen this movie, very underrated.

Cheers

Also, while Slumdog Millionaire is a great movie by all means, it won only by it's importance to raise the Western's awareness to 3rd world countries. Also the fact that Wrestler, Dark Knight and Wall E weren't even nominated is a complete robbery

slumdog had nothing in terms of cinematic effect..i think if you compare slumdog to city of god...there is a striking resemblance...and city of god is far superior in all respects...even the music was quite shit in my opinion...it was cheap bollywood crap...

well the most underated movie in my opinion

"Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story "

Life made him tough. Love made him strong. Music made him hard.

I saw The Devils Advocat just yesterday night again.

7/10 for me mostly for the amazing body of Connie Nielsen.

Equilibrium- (2002)- i liked this movie though it bore a stark resemblance to V fpr Vendetta and Matrix...some of the dialogues were increadible...it had that guy who was Batman in The Dark Knight...had some really good philosophical angle to it           When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive

Heaven by Tom Tykwer, he took an unfinished project from Krzysztof Kieslowski and made a beatiful movie about love

I wonder why they didnt film the other two parts of the trilogy           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

Ali G in the Da house was underrated.

One of the best comedy movie IMO.           Mushrooms make you do crazy stuff. Look at Mario he jumps on animal heads and fights with dragons.
