Imo there are more psy & less psy artists.
Meaning: The sound of PSYSEX is more Psychedelic Than the sound of PSYCRAFT.
4me the highest level of psychedelic sound is dun by Psysex.

1200 mics are quite psychedelic. Ignore the commercial cheesy stuff, and listen to the music itself. Pure psychedelia

Nobody does it more Psychedelic than Twisted.
Bleeps and weird noises are hardly enough to be considered psychedelic. The melody and structure is important also.

Well said Space Ninja. The Twisted crew with Simon in the front are the most psychedelic on the scene at the moment IMO.
And when you look at the scene in general, not much of it is psychdelic. For example, look at all the progressive releases, I mean, it's good music and all, but you can hardly say it's psychedelic. Same goes for today's full on... more clubby, feel-happy, but not so psy... How am I supposed to hallucinate with all these swirling colors distracting me! |

indeed my friend i'd include the whole aarhus team here as well..and digital talk
also pay attention to bonky's new album, its a psychedelic jewl
these artists plus some more i didn't mention I would use if through example i'm to describe psychedelic trance.....since their sounds are filled with psychedelic ideas........
however, this is very abstract issue, one can not really say and define the absolute meaning of psychedila because it's something which doesn't exist out there, it exists in our minds, we are the ones who percive the sound...and we all do that differently
  Why u little !!! |

Yes, Twisted, Defiantly.
I'd add Bigwigs and from the bleeps and weird noises department - Texas Faggott. |

but there r only couple of artists that make music on lsd for lsd example: shakta and all the old stuff r really psychedelic for your mind thats how music should be hearing for my opinion.

In my opinion the most psychedelic producers are :
Shpongle (Raja Ram & Simon Postford)
Hallucinogen (Simon Postford)
Etheogenic
Hilight Tribe (live)

liquidtomer: I doubt any artist makes music on LSD - very few in history were able to make something that sounds good when they were on acid. Not everyone is a Hendrix you know.
I find trance today being usually totally not psychedelic at all - lead by the Scandinavian progressive sound and the Israeli 'standard' full-on. I consider Shiva Chandra, Electric Universe, Process, and a few others psychedelic nowadays - most of them making progressive music.
NOTE: I do not consider most of the trance from Finland psychedelic - insanity and noisiness should not be mixed up with psychedelia. http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222 |

Plastik: Yes. Very. Read the definition of the word 'psychedelic' in the dictionary - Shpongle answers that definition very well, much better than most 4/4 monotone beat music, actually.
