I'm looking for more aggressive alike chill music.
With more sharp edgy Psychedelic sounds.
Most of the chill stuff sounds just a little too clean to me.
Thanks for you replies! |

dont think VA- future sound theory is dark but in any case has got the 'edge' you might be looking for... and the tunes keep materialising out of thin air and disappear as well...

In my opinion the album THE LEGENDARY PINK DOTS "The crushed velvet apocalypse" is the album that fits best too what u want ... at parts really dirty agressive chilly stuff and it is deff. sharp edgy Psychedelic sounds at its best ... check out
That`s no pure chill out artist, but it could be, what u want and that is what matters |

I do not want to offend anyone, but most of the mentioned chill out stuff is not agressive in my opinion.
I have never heard pure Chill Out that I would call agressive, not even Cypher and co. I guess chill out and agressive does not really fit together.
But everything is subjective.
In other genres u can find artists who also have chilly tracks that are agressive, for example (like I said) The Legendary Pink Dots, but pure Chill Out is kind of the opposit of agressive. There is lots of dark stuff, but agressive?

yes yes Gunter...The Legendary Pink Dots...so many past memories...I personally suggest the album Any Day Now...
I agree...aggressive chill is not really a perfect combination...also trance shouldn't be aggressive, even if dark but we all know what is going on nowadays..
...but I guess Djones meant music with more raw/dirty sounds...more skratchy or dark...more energetic than just a relaxing bath in too many bubbles...
the dark side is inside us all...we all must face it to become real (just watched the film Blueberry yesterday night)....and music is in my opinion the best way to take it out....instead of costantly deny it.
you should look into other musical scenes...expecially the so called glitchy electronica like Autechre or the freesyle breaks....check Future Funk Squad.
sutekh: "born again" is my favourite album at the moment....maybe fits you.
and some old goldies can be found in the production of
renegade soundwave, african headcharge, meat beat manifesto, scorn, two lone swordsman......
...make sense ? |
