Yes, I was happy ) but don't trust me, cos I'm always happy with gear I own ) and honestly I didn't compare them with many of their price range. Anyway, I like them more than KRK, for example

I also have the Alesis Mk1 Actives Mk2 and still use them. As secondary monitors but I do check mixes on there as well.
Good bang for buck monitors.

yeah that exactly i was thinking. nice monitor for so decent price.
As you said you still use em...so i trust you for sure.
back to topic...
@Medea
with the adam's and dynaudio you can go wrong i think. i recommend these cause i have adam a7x and i have heard and test em many times the dynaudio.
especially for monitors i always buy those who i have test em very well and if someone else have em in his studio, a friend of mine or someone who trust him.
But in your case 2000 euro whatever you choose will be high quality for sure

@ makus,
Eve audio monitors sound interesting, promising reviews from SOS but waiting to read more end-user opinions before i make up my mind.
Are you using them? I'm interested in the SC208's. Using Dynaudio BM6'A right now, which i'm really happy with but wouldn't mind something that go a little lower.

no, i dont use them but i had sc205 in my studio for two days from a local dealer (they think i am cool and gave it to me for a review. now my cheeky face is on their website).
all i can say sc205 is a very good model. people say that 07 is great too but 08 is a bit less successfull.
i read somewhere that the guy who designed them admitted himself that any 2-ways arent great in low mids.
but what exactly he meant? what is good for him? for some people krk are fine...

Thanks, guess i should look out for the sc207's then but they're pretty much similar in specs to the BM6A's.
FYI, i've owned some pretty good monitors in the past (before i got married & had a kid!), including K+H 0300's & Barefoot MM27's. I personally feel 3-way monitors are overkill for electronic music. Maybe that's just me though.
However between all the monitors i've owned, the best mixes came out on the K+H, but they were so clinical that writing music on them wasn't that inspiring.

Family is the main(s) <-- Nice joke, huh?
Yeah I remeber you were lucky punk with all those expensive monitors. How was creative process on Barefoots?

Hahah, indeed it is!
Barefoots were good when i had a really large & well treated studio. But then i moved to a much smaller place & they were just overkill, way too much bass with the 4 subs.
I preferred the mids on the K+H but they max out very easily, especially on bass heavy music, so not very good for EDM.
Personally i feel the BM6A's are great bang for the buck but being the gearslut that i am, can't help but be curious about new brands. Focal & ADAM/EVE are the only brands left i haven't tried so far.

I know, I wanted to buy them off you and it very unfortunately took me just a tad too long to get all the money together
Aaaargh... ;-)
I find focal too smooth sounding, almost like hifi high end gear, the Adams are better for critical listening and more unforgiving on mix mistakes, which is what I prefer, albeit my ears do get tired quicker... I have yet to try Eve... my next monitor upgrade will likely be Barefoot... and I will most likely keep the Adams as second pair...
